Not only is the challenger back, it's going to be awful. It weighs something like 4100 pounds, and barely manages a 13.9 second quarter mile. And the interior looks like an interior you'd see in a communist russia era car. Horrible gray plastic, and a steering wheel out of an SRT-8. It's the ultimate parts bin car... Underneath the cool looking body, it's a 300c/magnum
Edit: The new Camry's and Maximas are v6 family haulers that will run low to mid 14's in the quarter mile, so that says alot about how much of a turd the challenger is going to be. There's no excuse for the challenger to dip into SUV weight territory. Also, it's auto only for the first year of production. |

At least it looks nice on the outside. :thumbsup |

Better wait for the 2009 or 2010.
This one needs alot of work and certainly does not hold up to the legend. Looks great but it aint no muscle car. |
should be one from the last muscle cars, looking forward
|
SO
FUCKING SEXY!!!! Really that is an incredibly recreation of the lines and spirit of the Challenger. niiiiiiiiiiiiiice. |

The list price is just under US $38,000, including destination; for that, buyers will get ? * 0-60 in 4.9 seconds * Five seats * Zero to 100 mph and back in under 17 seconds * Quarter-mile times 13.3 seconds * 60-0 braking of 110 feet * Skid pad performance of 0.88 g (or .9g as reported in the launch ceremony) * A five-speed automatic (no manual transmission yet) 13.3 off the lot is very very acceptable for any musclecar. The car comes stock with 3.06 rear gears. A swap out to higher gearing would more than likely drop you easily into mid to low 12s and a little more tweaking and some add ons would get you close to 11. Thats pretty kicking for a 4200lb vehicle. Its enough to put your ass back in the seat that is for sure. |
Wow.
I want one. |
Very nice
|
The ride looks clean and bad ass
|
