Buying it as an investment

yay or nay?

Every portfolio should have some. That said, I don't know if this is the right time to buy.

If you're looking long term it is okay, short term is a big nay right now.

It seams I can buy it for about $943 an ounce.

I know nothing about it. Tried google and couldn't find much information. I have no problem holding it for like 5+ years though. Is it low or high right now? Or how do I find out?

So is it suppoed to drop in price? If so ill just wait before seriously concidering purchasing it

Gold is great. I don't know about the long-term investment, though.
Virtually all the gold is recycled eventually. So I don't see why the prices should go up in the long term?

If you like gold, buy mining companies instead, their price will follow the price of gold, and you will get quarterly dividends...

I'm still trying to figure out why I didn't buy a few years ago. One of my stupider investment decesions.
