Yahoo is going to REJECT Microsoft's takeover bid!
 

Yahoo's board of directors plans to reject Microsoft's unsolicited $44.6 billion acquisition offer, according to a news report Saturday citing unnamed sources.

The decision came after a series of meetings over the past week, during which Yahoo's board decided the $31 per share offer "massively undervalues" the Web behemoth, The Wall Street Journal reported, quoting a person familiar with the deal.

Yahoo will never go down. Google is great for search and all, but yahoo has way more shit going for it. I suspect Yahoo fantasy football alone could keep it flowing with new customers, yet there is so much other shit, including their email. I dont think they will be going anywhere anytime soon. Oh yeah, I actually like the search results from yahoo much better than google. Alot of garbage floating around on the first page results IMO.

Quite true .. Google has fucked up the serps for the last couple years, in order to combat with serps manipulators using artificial link building methods, including paid links, reciprocal linking, multi-way exchanges and stuff.

Yahoo has been talking to Google to see if they can take over their search. havin Adwords ads on Yahoo would be great and not having to fuck with two accounts.

They are selling off their music, and parts of their media, and discontinuing some of their portal offerings. But just selling pieces off is not going to make them viable.

It's the actual PORTAL PIECES that even keep them in this game. Whomever is making those calls to sell their pieces off is a fucking idiot.

Good. I like yahoo the way it is... I just wish they were stable and successful and a little faster on updating their web services APIs.
