Huckabee wins Kansas

Ok so so far McCain is 0-10 in caucuses. Good thing for him that the 21 states remaining only 4 have caucuses. Bad thing is that since your most loyal base members are the ones that attend caucuses, if you can't get support from your base then you don't have much hope for November.

How am I clueless? Go look it up there have been 11 caucuses( sorry I said 10 at first ) McCain is 0-11. FACT.

Alaska, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, N Dakota, West Virginia, Wyoming. Which one of these has McCain won?

You can lose every state that has a caucus and not sweat it.

A caucus is a pretty difficult way to tell how much support a candidate really has becaue it is not a simple vote. You go in there are debates and discussions and often times multiple votes so it can end up going to the candidate that has the best group at the caucus and that are the most persuasive. Huckabee's only real support is among the christian conservatives and they are very organized and vocal so they turn up at these things and rally for their guy so it is no surprise to see him win them.

So? If you don't have the support of the BASE you CAN NOT win in November FACT. So great McCain wins teh GOP primary and loses in November good for him. Then him and his buddy John Kerry will have something in common.

I'd love to see Huckabee win the republican nomination. Hillary can beat him. He's too conservative for a lot of republicans.

McCain should have paid Romney to stay in the race. :2 cents:

Also I'm sure MCCain would like this wrapped up as soon as possible. well he got ZERO dlegates in Kansas. Washington is having a caucus today. So going by mCCain 0-11 streak he'll get ZERO out of there and even if he wins the Lousianna primary it gives out delegates proportaionally so Huckabee will win mnay of those. If Huckabee got less than 30% of the vote there I'd be shocked. If Huckabe wins Lousianna, even though McCain would still get delegates, Huckabee would have gone 3-0 today. Don't think that won't energize the anti-McCain movement. Who knows Huckabee then could very well win Texas( winner takes all ) that's 140 delagtes and Mississippi the next week. Then Huckabee could very well drag this thing out until June.

Huckabee is very likeable, and the voters respond to that. Get used to him, because he is going to be around for a while.

L-Pink 02-09-2008 03:54 PM

No one named Huckabee will ever be elected president. Period!

He is an enigma. He is too conservative for some and not conservative enough for others.

Huckabee will have trouble winning any non-bible belt state so he can win all the states you have mentioned and still not touch McCain. That said, I think his strong showing in these states is why McCain will take him as the VP. He needs someone to help bring in the christian conservative vote.

Huckabee is a stupid fucking jackass that believes the earth is only a few thousand years old.

He'll soon be forgotten to history. :2 cents:

Yeah, but so are half the voters in this country.

He's Jimmy Carter with a much stonger religious persona.

Good luck to McCain in the south.
