Ok pimps! This is what's up! Take a webcam video...not to raunchy...and submit it to Metacafe. Choose to submit it as a video you produced. Now, go to http://www.immensehits.com and by the 150,000 hits for $49. After 20,000 hits to your video, Metacafe pays you $5 per 1000 video views if it's accepted into their program. So, for the $49 you spent on buying hits from immensehits.com, you've made $601 (130,000 hits is $650 minus the $49 you spent to purchase the hits in the first place...for you non-mathematically inclined people). You get squat for the first initial 20,000.

It doesn't matter where you get the hits from. Heck, you can even buy them from ChockerTraffic.com but the per hit basis costs more so your returns will be less! Any cheap traffic source will do!

good try but i doubt they would allow this, i am sure they have something in their terms against it.

your not far off though, you need to learn how to do "ethical hit laundering", you make a little less % of profit but you keep everyone happy.

Setup "drop blogs" that are very straightforward, make a whole set of videos put them on the blog and then buy traffic to these blog sites. This way you are not breaking any rules and you send alot higher quality traffic.

I didn't think of buying hits. I did mine the old fashioned way of just posting them and having people view them. I like this idea of buying hits. What Doug didn't tell you... is that you have to be able to get a high rating so those hits your buying better vote or else you won't get $$$.

Some of them guys do like $80K off those videos.

But what Doug did tell you is a pretty good way to get those views. Once you get the views you'll get more exposure to people that actually will comment and most likely give you a higher rating.

I know their publisher program, and you can make money with it. But you have to have worthwhile content to make decent money .. and what is making me laugh is the quality of immensehits .. you will know when you will try .. i said "good for immensehits guy" on purpose. :winkwink:

Isn't most bulk mainstream traffic delivered from worthless sources like autosurf programs?

One other thing to consider, do the people need to CLICK on play in order to count or does the video auto start?

3rd party hit counters on your site do not accurately represent the number of visitors to your site or the number of ads we served. This is due to the large amounts of traffic sent to the site in a relatively short time frame. Most 3rd party counters can not keep up accurately .

There's the red flag, it's either autosurf or a page with a bunch of hidden iframes

Yea but the metacafe guys are crooks, if you are making too much or the traffic is not producing good results they will make the rating under 3.0 which means you don't get paid, you only get paid if your video has a certain rating.

I also found a post that said they were now refusing to deliver to pages with adsense on them. I'm guessing this is because adsense clients were realising (hopefully not because their accounts were being cancelled) how crap the CTR from this traffic was...........

you sure can make money with MetaCafe, but with old elbow grease method. Getting top notch and viral video made, and spend time in spreading it over the interwebs.

Yeah I've been reading that on their own message board lately. That's one of the reason I stopped producing almost as fast as I started. I have a huge list of videos to produce. A lot of DIY shit, but after I heard they were adjusting ratings, I just kinda gave up on them. I still think they have a decent system, and would one day like to get paid, but 20,000 views on a folding quarter might be a bit harder reach than first imagined.
