PhatServers Virtual Accounts?

Thinking about getting one of their virtual accounts. Anybody got any experience with them for virtuals?

Do they shut your sites down if you exceed bandwidth or do they just charge an overage fee? I couldn't find out anything about that on their site.

take a look at our virtual plans .

We do not shut down sites . Overages are $ 0.60 a gig.

Reseller & Enterprise rebate coupons: GFY10 ( limited time offer )gives you 10% off for the life of the account.

Shameless plug. No big deal.

I really want some feedback on phatservers though... They have exactly what I'm looking for, I just want to hear about other's experience with them before I start spending.

I doubt PhatServers would ever shut anyone's account down for going over. They seem more like a host that would contact you before hand if they thought you were reaching your limits and work with you. Just my guess though ;)
I am sure Sly will come in and clarify it for you.

i use them , never had a problem yet. good solid host.

SmokeyTheBear 02-08-2008 10:33 AM

p.s. havent had overages that i know about though so it doesn't really answer your q but.

Dennis69 02-08-2008 10:43 AM

I'm not sure about the overages but I've never been shut down and I've had both virtual and dedicated servers with Phatservers for 8 years now and they are rock solid :thumbsup

Sly will know... bump

:1orglaugh Business must be bad?

There are two ways to handle the overage issue.

1) Temporarily suspend account to avoid overage charges.
2) Leave account alone and accrue charges. (Typically I encourage upgrading to the next package, takes care of those pesky overage fees and prepares you for further growth.)

I can set your account up either way, though I would suggest the latter. Just a note, for the month of February all shared and virtual accounts get your first month free. Hit me up and I can get you in.
