haha, I remember when I posted this pic ^^^ at one of the Yahoo humour groups many years ago.

How the fuck was I supposed to know that this wasn't just a funny looking guy but some Muslim imam or whatever holding the Quran, I was verbally attacked by 605 Muslim guys there but then some Americans came to my defense and told them if they don't share the same sense of humour they might just fuck off, I think I almost started WW3 back then ;)

the problem is its not us who don't understand their religion , they dont understand their own religion, the whole point behind not displaying the picture is so people don't get all fanatic about a silly picture, that they are supposed to focus on the ideas he represents not the picture. When they made the rule, they likely thought if nobody drew his picture then people wouldnt pretend to do things just because of a picture, they would have to use their brains , not follow the crowd. Instead they are doing the exact opposite.

I don't get it. That pic doesn't seem to portray Muhammad in a bad light or anything. Seems like your run of the mill biblical era pic to me.

I might have misunderstood, but it was explained to me once that they do not allow pictures of "the prophet" at all. No representation of him whatsoever. So that's why they are pissed as far as I know.

When someone's religion starts invading on other peoples rights (Like not having any religion), thats where religion goes wrong.

there's supposed to be no images of Prophet Muhammed's face....when you do see pictures, its usually with a white veil over the face

the reasoning is they don't want Prophet Muhammed to become a symbol of worship, such as how the Christians have done with images of Jesus, Mary, etc
