Neat Firefox Trick I Didn't Know About

You can set 2 home pages. Just separate the 2 url's with a pipe

http://www.site1.com|http://www.site2.com

ADL Colin 02-07-2008 08:18 AM

I knew it would be pretty cool when you posted it, Bama.

Thanks. :thumbsup

crockett 02-08-2008 01:02 AM

you can do the same with IE 7. Just separate the pages per line rather than a pipe

SmokeyTheBear 02-08-2008 01:14 AM

ie has had this for ages

Was thinking the same. Cause I have different settings depending on the task when I open my browser.

Wonder where IE got the idea from???

V_RocKs 02-08-2008 04:08 AM

Firefox will always dominate.

Sheep will keep tooting the IE horn.

Beehhhh-beeheehhh

bonkerz2007 02-08-2008 04:26 AM

seems like a lot of people were not aware of tabbed browsing... well here a tutorial on creating profiles and forcing profile selection before starting FF - http://www.borngeek.com/firefox/profile-tutorial/

eMonk 02-08-2008 04:30 AM

Thurbs 02-08-2008 04:52 AM

sleazybunny 02-08-2008 04:53 AM

add on the Morning Coffee FF extension. you can configure what pages open per day of the week when you click the morning coffee button in your toolbar. it is so good. Saves you having to go through opening new tabs and loading each page seperately. :thumbsup:thumbsup

I.

KILL_FRENZY 02-08-2008 06:00 AM

interesting :)

Dido 02-08-2008 06:02 AM

I personally love Opera's speed dial functionality

plus I'm addicted to the mouse gestures.. FF had a plugin for that but it was flaky at best. Dunno how it is nowadays though.

Peaches 02-08-2008 10:46 AM

My homepage right now is "blank" :)

What I like about FF though is that when I turn the laptop on it asks me if I want to go back to my current viewing. So....when I turn it off I just keep all the tabs open to my most frequently used sites and voila - I'm there as if by magic!!!

bobby666 02-08-2008 11:15 AM

you are cool man !

What I just recently discovered, is that you can have two separate firefoxes open at the same time, each one running of its own profile (bookmarks, addons, etc).

AdultB2B 02-10-2008 01:38 AM

How does this work with Mac? Or does it?

MikeB 02-10-2008 01:44 AM
