Local LA people that watch Lakers games. Broadcast question.

So I just moved into Time Warner. The past two Laker games on KCAL are like an hour delayed for me? Meaning, the game is half-time for me right now, but the live time is in the 4th quarter.

Anyone have any answers for this?

Did KCAL start delaying games for some purpose?

I am not recording them on DVR.

If they are playing in the Eastern time zone and it's not a weekend game. KCAL will tape delay the game and show it at normal tip-off 7:15pm. It sucks FSN does it too. They would lose rating if the game was shown live, since most fans are just getting off work between 4-5pm

Fucking timewarner even blacked out the game today on nba tv. And yes kcal delays the games if it is on the east coast.

You have to leave the car radio off on the way home...

Ohh.. and welcome to the West Coast... This is done in every basketball game shown here since I was a kid.
