What would be on your 'wish list' for hosted promo items from sponsors?

Everybody has hosted galleries, many have hosted free sites and blog entries. If you were making a list of hosted promo items that you would find useful from a sponsor what would they be and why would they be attractive to you?

from maxcash?.........mm lets see....

Some pics to create custom templates (cant do much with blurry images from mpgs)

From sponsors in general...but yeah, we have RSS coming out fairly soon.

Damian_Maxcash 02-05-2008 08:29 AM

Me and the Sarah's are going to be putting our heads together again very soon to put together the details of the next wave of promo materials.

This would be a REALLY good place to let us know what you want! :)

Sarah_Jayne 02-05-2008 08:51 AM

Yup, we have the hot new sites and we are working hard to make the promo tools just as hot.

Diligent 02-05-2008 09:21 AM

Niiice... :)

I have to agree on Feeds, those are probably what I'm making the most use of now and further ahead.

Apart from that; the usual galleries, with decent descriptions and preferably at least 2 different description lengths (~ 6-15 characters minimum for short ones).

:thumbsup

Sarah_Jayne 02-05-2008 11:40 AM

All good stuff but I was thinking more of something you maybe haven't seen before but would like to see from a sponsor.

Diligent 02-05-2008 01:07 PM

OK, here's an idea:

Keep highly categorized content databased, and then freely pluggable by "tagging" in a FHG builder...

I honestly don't know if MC, nor any other sponsor, already has that feature... but that would be really cool together with "design-morphing" FHG-templates.

One *big* point with it:

Affiliates could pick an initial template in the FHG-builder, set possible morphing parameters, write up text for the Search Engines, and finally set the "tags" for
what picture/movie content it should morph with.
(This way, that content would basically *always* match the FHG's text content...)

As long as the final URL to the FHG is *very* SE-friendly, affiliates can easily & quickly set out on SEO campaigns with mere FHG's as the destination...
Set & forget, and watch results build up over time - I like it like that.. :Graucho

Could it be done? :winkwink:

The scary thing is I understood all that - I really need to get out more.

We are doing that with the RSS blog feeds - It would be hard with FHG feeds.

We have a new wiz in the tech dept though - I will see what we can do :)

Lolz :)

Excellent.. *Mr. Burns voice*

Btw, I think You may be mixing up my "FHG builder" with "FHG feed" though, what I'm suggesting is basically just an online FHG builder.. with advanced morphing stuff
in it's binary engine so to speak. Except for morphing this isn't that Feed-centric actually.

But hehe.. I'm not gonna spin into excessive details about what I mean, I think that the new guy might get really interested in it though and manage to work some magic.. :)

Thanks :)

You wouldn't believe the number of ideas we have kicking around and with both myself and Damian coming from webmaster backgrounds we are really big on having good text and keyword targeting friendly text in every idea we toss around.

I've recently become very fond of hosted flash videos. I have no idea how effective they are at converting yet, but if it makes my site more sticky, I'm all for it.

Embedded. I want them to play on my pages. Also, it's best if the vid isn't a continuous clip. Make them trailer-like in which you get sampled action from beginning to the end of the movie. 30 seconds in duration seems to be a good standard. Check the ones at OC Cash and Perfect Gonzo to get a feel for what I'm talking about. They have the best ones I know of.

Yup, I knew which ones you meant :) I have brought them to the table a couple times when we float ideas.

Enbeded videos would be good for my TEVS clients too. Along with an easy import page special created just for Maxcash. :)
Hit me up if your interested.

100% customizable rss feeds, right down to the letter

meaning: I want to go in and select the sites or niche, then select the image sizes and amount of images, then fonts (if any, with an option for default), the position of each image, then to top it off, a KICKASS morphing engine that rewrites not just words, but WHOLE LINES OF TEXT

here is how a programmer could do it, set up a varilable that rotates any text in a sentence when this is there [[this]]

examples:
[[a hot babe with huge tits, the sexy lady with big knockers, a fine woman with big breasts]] sucked on my huge cock yesterday.

so, every time the rss feed displayed it said either:
a hot babe with huge tits sucked on my huge cock yesterday.
the sexy lady with big knockers sucked on my huge cock yesterday.
a fine woman with big breasts sucked on my huge cock yesterday.

TrafficCashGold has the hands down the best options for customization out of all the feeds, they just don't morph or change to help us as affiliates, if a program came out with some SERIOUS morphing feeds with UNLIMITED customization it would rock the porn bloggers world

btw, no charge ;) haha

and oh yeah, update regularly...like every 2-3 days at the LEAST!

hosted:
- nonmorphing rss feeds.
- embedded movies (flv).

other:
- good banners in different sizes (tons of them) (and an easy way to download them, not the standard crappy NATS way).

Why nonmorphing?

ooo...nice one..the option of having the feed be "non-morphing" as well as "morphing"

bobby666 02-06-2008 04:19 AM

Affiliates have been asking for customizable RSS feeds so they can tweak the number of images, turn morphing on/off etc..
