"Keep your friends close and your enemies closer."

:)

I try not too.

However, I think many Americans are very short sighted about the Iraq war.

I think many Americans are also short sighted about the economy, healthcare, and social ills --they expect the government to solve everything. This only grows government and makes problems worse.

Damian_Maxcash 02-05-2008 07:14 AM

My political views are so mixed up I wouldnt know who to dislike.

bronco67 02-05-2008 08:31 AM

I don't judge, and I'm middle of the road. Maybe I don't like liberals too much not because of their views, but the way they express them.

Liberals are the worst when it comes to being an asshole about their affiliation. This is just what I've noticed from a few personal interactions. At the office I used to work (many lunch room debates), the conservatives were generally able to express an opinion with respect for the other side. Generally...

The liberal minded folks were vitriolic, fanatical and just snobbish little jerk-offs. One guy got fired for spewing liberal rhetoric every chance he got. He made Susan Sarandon look like Rush Limbaugh.

What I don't understand is why anybody really gives a fuck anyway? George Bush is by far the worst president we've ever had. It doesn't really change how I live my life. All of those little college kid liberal punks who cry to "impeach Bush" will still have their grande no-fat Cinnamon Dolce Latte and listen to the the Shins. Stop caring so much and live your life. Liberal - conservative...who gives a shit. I'm in the "common sense" party.

Yes...of course I do. I do not like socialists or communists for example...as well as some others. BTW...the socialist and communist party are alive and well in our country and have their candidates for the Presidency.

And so they should - you are a democracy after all.

I don't judge people on it UNLESS I sense they're trying to shove something I don't agree on onto me... then I get pissed, lol.

Likewise, I try to practice as I preach on that matter.. so I seldomly care to start arguing about MY views. And this holds true in business & business decisions *especially*.

notoldschool 02-05-2008 09:58 AM

yes. I hate people who want war but wont serve, or have their children serve to defent that belief. Which runs rampant in this country. People of this country believe in crazy shit and get major breaks for doing so. Its amazing what some of these wierdos believe, do, and and say in public.

lately i try to not be involved in all those political debates on here, and not to be too much of a loud mouth. I fail at that once im boozed up in the weekends - i will need to control myself a bit more. Even in real life when i run in someone from going out they only know me for my crazy talk and big mouth, its getting ridiculous...

Thats ok - Just make sure you balance it out.

I do the same.

My family when we all get together represent all parts of the aisle. It makes for lively debate like real time on steroids but still all love each other and we know you will never change someones point of view.

I do not poke or prod for one's alignment, nor really care about what political beliefs a person has, since it (politics) is SO boring and typically full of shit and shit slingers!

So, I only look at people differently when they are fanatical about their system of beliefs (politics, religion etc) and try to sell me on them.

florin 02-05-2008 11:21 AM

political views?...yeah, sure....my preferred criteria is the size of the tits..

Tom_PM 02-05-2008 11:47 AM

I only care if it's a politician or a demonstrably false premise.

rowan 02-05-2008 03:33 PM

I see it a little like religion, I respect others opinions and beliefs, just don't bash me over the head with them. Unless I specifically ask.
