Your thoughts on DVD versions for members.
 

Getting a lot of members asking for versions of the scenes they can play on DVDs. Seems they want the full quality exrerience.

What's your thoughts on this?

Should the member pay more, should it come as part of the membership and in your opinion would members and surfers like it?

Would some surfers prefer it to a membership?

I got a request like this the other day too. Maybe some dvd sales are good but then we're back to the issues of postal regulations, customs, etc.......

It would be for download off the site and burn to disc.

My thinking is if 1 in 1000 want it, it's another join. If you add enough they might stay to get the new one. The upsell is an option, but the cost of delivering and the possible returns on giving it away are greater.

Traffic converts 1-300 get 1-1000 joining to get a DVD you ratio drops to 1-233 if I did my sums right. Give the surfers more reasons to sign up and less reason to surf for free.

so you want to charge more to give them the same content in a different format? give them scenes regularly and also lower your join prices. the trend for '08 is value imho.

That's what I'm really not sure on. How to sell it.

A site dedicated to DVD downloads at a PPV set up seems logical. It's how do I incorporate the DVD downloads into the existing membership sites. Upsell or give it away for free and get more members.

1 scene = 1 gig costs 10 cents to DL. Charge $1-$3 a scene to DL or get more members?

Better conversions = more traffic = more earnings.
