I'm installing Mac OS X Now... On My PC

Looking forward to try that Leopard thingy.

By the way, you can do that too

If it's "that leopard thingy" to you, you're not going to like the result. I'd also put money on it not running well on anything but almighty Apple hardware.

Godsmack 02-04-2008 04:07 AM

Unless the pc hardware you are running it on is 100% the same at whatever Apple model it will not run like it should. .
I'm sure you can't even set resolution of your monitor due lack of the right driver..

pleas keep us up with more informations about your test

martinsc 02-04-2008 04:28 AM

I'm waiting to try this...
just need to find some free time ;-)
I even got the first comment on that blog ;-)

Hackintosh w00p w00p. Just don't ring Apple support if you encounter problems running it.

Yoni 02-04-2008 06:44 AM

you're just wasting your time... It won't work the way it should.

Nice as a novelty, I guess. But why would a PC user do this? So we can install it and look at the pwitty wittle Mac OS on our ugly PC? Have a lot of fun sitting there looking at it and admiring the cute wittle buttons and widgets(in my gayest baby voice)-- I'd be impressed if you are able to run any software on it.

Besides, what software am I dying to have that is exclusive on a MAC? Garageband? yawn.

huh??
Talk about a big ole thumbs down.

Why wouldn't you install Linux?
Not some OS that made specifically for Apple hardware, as mentioned above by a few.

Install Linux and you'll earn them thumbs-up!!

minddust 02-04-2008 09:41 AM

linux is free only if you're time ain't worth shit.:2 cents:

candyflip 02-04-2008 10:30 AM

I've tried this too and the results weren't too hot. Granted you can get it working, it's just really not the same OSX just yet.

Oh, come now! If you've got time to post of message boards you certainly have got time to dedicate to something like installing Linux!

Also, if you've got time to dedicate to maintaining Windows..

trevmachine 02-05-2008 02:30 PM

agreed, you're wasting time. If anything, buy a mac and use boot camp to run Leopard, Linux or your shitty Windows OS of choice, or all three! you pick the partition sizes...

DigitalDruid 02-05-2008 02:35 PM

Keep this updated when you have it loaded, I just built a box compatible and am waiting for all the bugs to be worked out

L-Pink 02-05-2008 02:36 PM

I think this will end badly.

iMind 02-05-2008 02:53 PM

Good Luck !
