Do you have a good, bad, or average sales day today ? (Superbowl Sunday)
 

Today is Superbowl Sunday, one of those days that ranks high on the list of days that lots of people say that no one will buy porn. I predict a few posts being made tonight by people who happened to have a bad day blaming it on the superbowl. It happens every year. Some people think it is imposible to make money on superbowl sunday.

Ask yourself, do you believe that the superbowl affects your sales? I am curious how many of you who really think this and those of you who do, will you come back and admit that you had a good day. Because if you believe in crap like the superbowl causing your stats to go to shit that day then if you actually have a good or average day doesn't that completely destroy your logic?

I'm actually on pace to triple my highest day for the week. ;)

I am on pace to be slightly above average but I will post at the end of the day how I did.

Pretty slow day so far...we'll see what happens.

My weekend sales are always better.

They have been ok, I just have the feeling everyone'a kind of ‘apprehensive’ right now, but after 2 hours of the game, all the drunk bored mother fuckers will come a running :) I hope its a Blow out, I do not even care, but the Pats winning Big would be less watched.

About average here - it's still early in the billing day for me...

Because of my niche, many of my Members are not from the US, and therefore are less affected by events happening here, like the Super Bowl.

Below average for me. Honestly will76 I'd love to prove your theory right by having an above average day but my traffic is down and conversions are worse :winkwink:

on any given day 1/2 of the people should have a better than average day, 1/2 the people should have a worse than average day.


my point is that the people who bitch that they have a bad day and blame it on stuff like the superbowl are ignorant and just looking for an excuse. If 9 out of 10 people said their sales went to shit on a specific day then I would believe that something caused that to happen.

What you will see from this poll and people posting is that similar amount of people will have a good day as will have a bad day today. Proving that the superbowl does not affect sales. The people who have bad days as just having a bad day, not everyone can have a better than average day every day, its not possible. But 90% of the people who have a bad day will blame it on the superbowl or something else :upsidedow

you need to ask programs that are doing 100+ sales a day. You can't go by people on GFY that do 5 sales here and there. If you had a program doing that much then you could look at it. No I am not one of them LOL. My day was good today which is why you can't go by the little guys.

it doesn't matter. If 50 people from GFY reply and 25 are having a good day and 25 aren't that is enough of a sample size. If 4 people replied that would be a different story.

I make a lot more than 5 sales a day. I actually had a good last 2 hours, which was during the superbowl. I had 10 signups during the second half of the game to just clickcash and most of my traffic is US.

You think? Sites that I have that are 100% SE traffic and generally consitant within 100 uniques a day show a 20% drop today, and I'm guessing will be back to normal tomorrow. Explain that (without resorting to on this specific day of the year after a year of consitant results they went to some other guy's site so he has way more traffic today).

You made this same argument a few months ago but in a broader sense - that there were no such thing as slow weeks/months/seasons. So I'll point out again that just because YOU don't see trends with your sales doesn't mean the rest of the entire adult world is the same.

That's as illogical and ignorant as what you're suggesting. Just think about it for awhile and probably it will come to you, you're a pretty smart guy.

check the poll and comments posted here, i am not the only one that had an average or above average day today. a lot more people had an average or above average day then people who had a bad day, and that says a lot because the nature of people is to bitch and most posted that they did good or great today.

oh you must have been a victim of the " day before the superbowl slow down". You know where all the porn buying men in the US spend the day outside cleaning the bbq pit and at the store buying beer or cleaning their houses and apartments... lol and if you slow tomorrow it will be the " day after the superbowl slow down" you know where everyone is hung over and too tired to look at porn. LOL excuse for every day of the week ( i know you are not making them, i am just saying in general.)

no, mostly straight. So you had a 20% drop in traffic today. Is it uncommon for you to have days with 20% less or more in your stats? I would think the majority of people would normally have at least a 20% swing up or down with an average some where in the middle. So if you traffic is down 20% on Wednesday what is the reason then? and then if it is up 20% more than usual on Thursday is it because of some specific event or more just the law of averages playing out ?

wow how did 28 people still have an average to good day on superbowl sunday, everyone tells me that it is impossible to sell porn on superbowl sunday. I guess those 28 people got lucky, lol.

People who want porn won't exactly be interested in the Super Bowl I don't think...
