Miss Munki 02-02-2008 12:20 AM

I loved it too, the songs/ singing/ story were all great, it had a nice dark Tim Burton feel to it, with lots of blood and gore:thumbsup

Doctor Dre 02-02-2008 12:29 AM

I was talking about Cry Baby, thoguht that was his debut.

Same here. Really good movie.

MikeSmoke 02-02-2008 01:53 AM

I saw the original musical back in the day and it was fabulous...was afraid to see the movie because I couldn't visualize how they could improve on the show.

They did...Burton and Depp did a fabulous job. Just a great movie.

Saw this a few days ago. It's definitily worth seeing. I normally hate musicals but this one was nice to watch.

Sarah_Jayne 02-06-2008 06:06 AM

Depp did a very good job and his Bowie singing style worked for him ;)

The art direction was also very good. I have long been a fan of the stage version and I can't think of it being done on film better than this version. I saw a non-musical version on the BBC with Ray Winston a couple years back and that was very good but it was a whole different animal to this version.

My only wish would have been that they took Helena down an octave because she was reaching a bit too much for me at times.

Spudman 02-06-2008 06:23 AM

awesome film, way better than i thought it was going to be :)

nico-t 02-06-2008 07:33 AM

nice to see musical haters liked this one.. never felt the need to watch this because of the singing. When there's even one musical like song in a movie it really puts me off i fucking hate it. maybe this will be an exception although i still have my doubts.

Paper_Amar 02-06-2008 10:05 AM

great acting... but damnnt couldnt put up with the singing

tony286 02-06-2008 10:07 AM
