LCD TV... Toshiba or Aquos?

So I want to get a new LCD for my bedroom and I can't make up my mind... Toshiba or the Aquos?

Any experience with either?

I got a Sony Bravia in my living room and it sucks... just don't like it.

Ive heard good things about Aquos. You should check out the new one from Samsung that has 2x the refresh rate as other LCD tvs out there. if i wasnt so lazy id find a link for, but its at best buy, i saw it there a little bit ago

I got a Sony, and it is... I only got it because of the name... but its ugly. LOL.

I am not getting another one. 1 is enough.

I got a 42" toshiba not too long ago, works great. Faster processor than the cheap brands, so it's better for sports and stuff from what I hear. Really just gotta check them out in person and see what you like best.

No dont do that, the tv's in stores arent tweaked like they would be at home and wouldnt truly show which is the better tv. I'd say go to circuitcity.com/bestbuy.com to find out what's popular via the reviews, then go to actual big screen review sites and find reviews of those tv's by people who know what the fuck they're talking about.

:2 cents:

Good feedback.... I think it will be an Aquos...

either the 46" or the 50"... um... although, I think I want the small one.

So, I suppose I got my weekend plans down. Buy TV, hook up stackers, and enjoy.

even 46" is way too big for a bedroom (unless it's a seriously huge bedroom)

I have an LG, and I love it. Take a look at them as an option. Another one that I have noticed lately is Polaroid.

I say neither; go with Samsung. I have a 36 and a 52 inch and I am very please with them. Samsung TVs have 9th generation display panels while other manufacturers are still using 8th gen. My 52 inch I got last summer and it has a 15,000:1 contrast ratio with black levels only seen on plasmas before. Plus there's a little USB slot on the TV where you can upgrade the TV's firmware (I have FIOS and my STB and TV didn't play well with each other until a firmware upgrade on the TV). I'm one happy Samsung customer.

I have an Aquos and I'm very happy with it.

Just curious, what is wrong with the Bravia? I thought they were supposed to be good as far as picture quality.

Or is it just the general design you don't like?

I would second the Samsung recommendation. I love their gloss black cases, and their picture quality is great.

I have a 52 inch Samsung LNT5281FX and I'm loving it so far :) http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/d...=LNT5281FX/XAA
