LOL I've lived in Hobart Launceston Melbourne Wollongong Sydney Gosford Newcastle Surfers Brisbane to name just the major cities (i'v also lived in a shit load of country towns all up and down the East Coast as far north as Hervey Bay - yet to visit Cairns- I've pretty much covered the East Coast of OZ and I love it here I can understand why melbourne got first - its a great place - but just liek the article says - four seasons in one day ids the major drawback there Probably the MAIN reason we live on the Gold coast and not down there If anyone hasn't been here yet they should come check it out here's the official website of the city where we live: www.surfersisparadise.com |

Dam, San Diego isn't even in the list. It is obvious the 12 factors they used to rate the top cities is majorly flawed.
Why anyone would want to live in a place where you are either dick deep in snow for six months out of the year and where cases of skin cancer is the most prevalent in the world is beyond me. I'll stay in San Diego where the median temperature is 70 degrees fahrenheit (21 degrees celsius) and where you can ski and surf all in the same day. Sure housing is expensive here but you can't place a cost on quality of life. Don't get me wrong here, there are plenty of beautiful places in the world to live but to leave San Diego out of the group and include places like Washington DC, Houston Texas and Taipei, Taiwan that just illustrates to me, that what ever group concocted the 12 scoring factors, had their heads bury deeped in their own asses or each others asses. Just my two cents. |
