Is it all just a waiting game with blogs?
After getting linked in all the usual places (link dumps, link lists, social bookmarking) and doing some link trades, is the key to traffic with blogs just letting it age and have the search engines eat it up?
I've heard the six month mark and one year mark are gold, but are there other things to be done? |
How often are you updating it?
|
If you have a real blog, do about six updates a day with original text content and have something real a surfer can discuss or repost, then you bet your blog will grow in leaps and bounds.
There are no shortcuts. |
I took me two years to build my blog up to 30k unique a day without trading traffic.

all that's left now is to get frustrated by not having instant results and quit updating.

Well I have no intentions on stopping updating, and I absolutely know that there are no shortcuts. I'm just more concerned that perhaps there's more to it that I'm not doing. If I've done all I can, and now it's just a matter of continuing to post and be interesting and relevant to the surfer, then I'm doing good ;)
Thanks for the replies guys! *wiggle* |

You need to update atleast everyday, actually several times a day is to prefer, I don't need to mention that you must have original text since that is essential.
How many words are a typicall update of yours? And how many times per day do you update? Also relevant linktrades you can do ongoing, no need to stop just because you have 20, do ABC linking, buy some relevant hardlinks, check your privious ones if there is anyone who has dropped you and replace it..... |
