Interesting spam-scam I just received...
(not sure if it's been posted or if this is an old one, but figured I'd post it again for those that didn't see it)
Just received this from a friend of mine. I'm pretty good at recognizing spam, but this one contained her full name AND the company she owns so it made me do a double-take. This is one of the more clever Nigerian scam e-mails I've received over the years... Quote:

If we all posted our Nigerian scam emails it would fill up all the front page threads daily. Funny thing about that email though is that it appears they are taking the hard luck begging approach rather than the usual "i have all this money coming to me and just need a little bit in order to access it" approach."

You mean it had her name and company in the From and/or Subject? How could they do that without something running on your machine to deliver that info somehow?
|
.. or it could be something lurking on HER machine - which spams out whatever message it's instructed to with her contact details to every address it can collect.
Yah, that's a twist on the regular ones.. That stuff will never end :\ |
Phil btw I am stuck in calabasas can you please wire me some money so I can get to LA for the XBIZ show??

Somewhere, somehow, someone falls for those.... thereby inspiring yet another daily flood of crap.
