First two CDs were good... but then they just sold out to bubblegum rock.

Oh well.

I saw them a bunch of times live in their earlier years.
That first showbar tour in summer '95 with the original lineup was great.

dunno - i saw them live 2 times and i was always a bit disappointed cause they used to play alot rougher and less melodic than on their records. but still: i think dave has a great sense for melodies that get stuck in your head and the fact that he used to play all instruments in the studio himself impressed me a lot

That's one of the reasons I lost a lot of interest. They used to have an angry, rough sound to them...

I'm not a big fan of Pretender or the one they have on the radio now, but no doubt about this song. It kicks all kinds of ass.

I love there old stuff and new stuff its definitely not as hard but bubble gum? I really like how they are bringing smaller punk bands on the road with them. My friends just got off tour with them and are rejoining on the canadian leg of their tour. They are gonna play in Montreal Chris at a place called The Fouf if you don't go the the Foo show you should check them out they are called HIFI Handgrenades, but I would go to the Foo show just to see them and Against Me! who is a great band

It's songs like Watershed, and Enough Space that I miss.

I like Pretender myself. I've heard some stuff though that I thought was pretty B side material. I'm a much bigger fan of the earlier stuff.

Sucks getting old. Hopefully something will happen and they will get mad again and start making good music again.

I bought their first CD.
Was it bit too soft for my liking back then.

My girlfriend is taking me to see my first show with them in Oakland, CA on Saturday. I'll let you know what I think about the show, but I'm ready for a very fun night. :)

These guys play a GREAT show with out a doubt!!!

I do wish they played some more of their old stuff, but these guys are such legendary musicians I'm going to really give their new stuff an honest listen to find the genius displayed in the older stuff I know and love.

If you have a chance to see them in person, DO IT!!

saw them this past time they came to atlanta like 5 months ago

worst rock show I have been to in ages

the band decided to bring out acoustic instruments halfway through and play all melodic versions of their songs

the crowd was 100% gap/american eagle...and they STOOD there the WHOLE time...no one did anything but raise a fist and STAND THERE

it was SO fucking boring....

I LOVE foo fighters, but yes, this last album is pretty boring...they used to be the epitome of a kickass rock band in this day and age, now they are dime store pop
