Good place to get a CREDIT REPORT???

I don't mind paying.

I just don't want my name to be submitted to 1000 loan companies.

Any recommendations?

Didnt ya listen last time.
If your a costco member https://www.intersections.identitygu...eid=1&f=costco its like 7.50 a month

If your not a costco member. just cut the ?languageid=1&f=costco and use same service.

The munki uttered the best resource: EquiFax is the best and most secure online credit report resource.

Most that offer credit reports are using their service, or infrastructure.

you can get 1 free annually as it is the law - www.annualcreditreport.com

I've used this for the last few years..TOTALLY free, safe, no catches at all,
Fed law says you are entitled to 1 free copy of your credit report each year, this is the site that handles that request, you get complete copies of all 3 credit reporting agencies right online you can print out.
Takes about 15 mins depending on how fast your printer is.

Tom_PM 01-30-2008 11:39 AM

myfico.com is the place. Always and forever.

i was going to suggest the same thing. This site is backed by the goverment. Totally safe to use. :thumbsup

edit: It does not give you your score though, just so you know. If you want your score you have to pay extra, but it does show all open, closed accounts as well as inquiries.

Hotrocket 01-30-2008 11:42 AM

Also want to point out that you are sent to each credit reporting agencies website to get each report separately directly from equifax, transunion and experian, its not a 3rd party handling your info.

I actually called experian a couple of weeks ago and they told me to go to www.annualcreditreport.com

I kind of got cranky at them and told them I wanted it directly from them. The person said, if I go to above site, I would get it from them and get the other two major reports also.

I did what they said and it worked ok as the post above mention.

Kind Regards,

Les

THANKS!!

I ended up getting my free report from Equifax (via www.annualcreditreport.com), then bought the "number" score for $8. Exactly what i was looking for.

Now....can anybody lend me $20?

backed by the gubment = totally safe??? :error

in any case, i know halcyon already used this site, but myfico.com is great - i se them - i don't mind paying. (seeing as how you have to pay for the other sites to actually get your results anyway) my name and info isn't spammed to any credit companies so far as i know.

watch out for experian I signed up for their uk site and they put me a free trial then recurred me! i didn't realise till they trying to charge me again the next year!

you expect that shit from porno but not experian, and you wouldn't want to chargeback on the credit report people they would probably piss allover your score!

i got this too.

you can never have enough info. soft inquiries like you checking your credit do not show up or affect your score at all.

I think it gives you the score if you pay for it, but I just wanted to see what my history looked like I used this when I was in the early stages of purchasing a house. It gave me everything I need to make a quick boost to my score for home buying purposes.
