    Unbelievable FLING stats

    Honestly, why do they increase their shave? Do they think we won't notice?

              Fling is a great program!

              Having said that their stats suck and I know they always don't count sales on the day they are made. It does seem like they eventually catch up since I can have one day with low sales and another abnormally high.

                  Well every program shaves from webmasters, it's a normal part of the business model. I accept that.

                  What I don't accept is programs who constantly increase the amount they shave... particularly if they claim they don't shave in the first place. It's utter nonsense.

                  I've liked Fling for a long time. I hope they rethink their shaving percentage though.

                                                  i don't really know if i would blame that on the "shaving". 1:38 for free emails? seems like your traffic is just junk.

                                                  also it is a dating site. sometimes it takes me a couple days with dating sites to start regularly converting signups. that free email ratio is what i would be worried about.

                                                      My traffic hasn't changed, it's only increased. But my earnings with Fling have gone way way down. More signups but less conversions.

                                                      So I would expect my earnings to increase as my traffic and emails increase. But it's decreased. The only reason for this is that the earnings are being shaved.

                                                      It's been a slow process but it's now impossible to ignore. I just can't even consider that the traffic might be shit. Or if shit, no shitter than it used to be.

                                                                                      theres a few really popular "rogue" toolbars out there , some as high as 1&#37; coverage. I wouldnt doubt this is part of the problem.

                                                                                      but it is also up to the sponsor to weed out the spyware affiliates, if they dont they are just shooting themselves in the foot , because eventually affiliates notice something strange going on and move to a new sponsor. then the spyware guy has nothing to "shave/steal/skim" , and the sponsors "wonderboy" sponsor suddenly goes dud.

                                                                                              Why does everyone throw the "shave" word around so much? What do they have to gain from shaving your joins, it is not in their best interest, you'll just send your traffic elsewhere. RK/BB do not need to start shaving everyone who sends them 2000 hits for that quick buck.

                                                                                                  my point is that i think there is something more complex at work there than shaving. people always seem to jump to that as their conclusion instead of taking a good hard at their traffic, filtering methods, posibility of oversaturation in the current demographic, or like smokey said, spyware.

Not every program shaves, hell I would reason to bet most programs would not even know how to shave on purpose and if they did it, it would be by accident and seen by any and every affiliate that looked and then asked why is there no link code on X page or why is someone elses (house number) affiliate number in the tour.
