John Edwards is dropping out of the race

Just saw the breaking news on CNN

Evil Chris 01-30-2008 07:41 AM

Not surprising. Rudy is next.

Holly 01-30-2008 07:42 AM

CNN should have checked GFY first. ;-}

I think your long shot favorite is hurting Obama

if Paul drops out I suspect a great dea of his supporters will go to Obama

escorpio 01-30-2008 08:12 AM

And McCain gets one step closer to becoming president. Nice work, dems.

LauraLee 01-30-2008 08:39 AM

Of course he is, now Edwards sits back and plays nice until the Democratic choice asks him to sign on as their V.P. running mate.

DaddyHalbucks 01-30-2008 09:05 AM

Does this help or hurt Hillary? Obama?

uno 01-30-2008 10:36 AM

I'd say it helps Obama more than Hill.

Pretty sure he already did. Sucks about Edwards.

Shall we welcome our next PUSA, John McCain?

Tom_PM 01-30-2008 10:47 AM

He's been closer to Hillary than Obama on actual issues. He could be a "king maker", but we've never had a race like this in most of our lifetimes.
I wonder if he'll hold his tongue for now.. thats my guess, but we'll know in about 15 minutes.

D 01-30-2008 10:53 AM

Heard this on the morning news, as well... there goes my planned vote for next week. :(

Tom_PM 01-30-2008 11:37 AM

And there you go, he just finished his announcement, and has not endorsed anyone yet. I knew it.

How is that Paul supporters are for LESS government. Obama wants MORE government.

I'm not supporting either. Good thing I didn't early vote. I guess I'll vote in the republican primary next week and vote for Paul. This is why piss-ant states like Iowa, NH and S Carolina shouldn't get to vote earlier than everyone else. Once again my choices are limited before I get a chance to vote.
