Edwards drops out race

We're down to Obama and Clinton :winkwink:

mikeyddddd 01-30-2008 07:23 AM

That's too bad.

JUSTB 01-30-2008 07:23 AM

he'll probably endorse someone soon so he can try to get a VP nod

sweetcuties 01-30-2008 07:25 AM

Obama/Edwards would be kick ass but that's may be a blow to Edwards ego cause he already ran as VP :2 cents:

Holly 01-30-2008 07:26 AM

We've been down to Obama and Clinton since New Hampshire.

Edwards would suck every last drop outta Obama to even be considered. Or Hillary.

His focus for awhile now has been a job/appointment.

It was previously reported that Edwards would be Obama's AG.

DaddyHalbucks 01-30-2008 09:34 AM

Gosh, I hope the beneficiary is not Hillary, I think she would be awful as President.

uno 01-30-2008 09:46 AM

Coming from someone who thinks Bush is doing a great job, I think we can look past your opinions.

That would be a major step up from the fool the previous AG's.

TGVinny 01-30-2008 09:51 AM

It's been Obama/Clinton from the starting gates.

From MSNBC....

Quote:

Obama told reporters that Edwards was exiting the race in a ?classy? way. ?I think he?s run a great campaign,? said Obama, who aides said also spoke with Edwards on Tuesday night and asked for his endorsement.

In a statement from his campaign, Obama said Edwards ?spent a lifetime fighting to give voice to the voiceless and hope to the struggling, even when it wasn?t popular to do or covered in the news.?

?While his campaign may end today, the cause of their lives endures for all of us who still believe that we can achieve that dream of one America,? the statement said.
