The nest USA President will be McCain because

He is the ONLY candidate who is NOT:
Mormon,
Black,
Woman
which is good enough for the majority of the country to vote for.
Saaaaaaaaaaad.

cherrylula 01-29-2008 08:48 PM

Disturbing, but not impossible.

The nest USA President will be McCain because...
the democrats are gift wrapping the election and handing it to him.

NoComments 01-29-2008 08:58 PM

Democrats are not to blame, we are the ones who vote for something we think we know.
Jews, blacks, mormons, women, husbands with wife who has cancer is a HUGE unknown.

I am registered Republican

LiveDose 01-29-2008 09:04 PM

The choice this year will be between a liberal and a socialist... I agree that it will probably be the liberal, Mccain, who wins.

he will never win the south, he voted against the Confederate Flag.

no matter what politics are as dirty as it can get down here. You vote against the battle Flag and you wont win the South.

what kind of stupid comment is that? Obama and Hillary Clinton are far from 'goofballs'. Unelectable - probably, but goofballs - hardly.

Don't be so sure. Wasn't JFK the first Catholic?

Yep the dems won't nominate anyone that can actually get a red state or two. Unfortuneatley the dems continue to fail at electoral math.

Same here, but I would rather side with the capitalists over the entitlement crowd.

I am a capitalist, before ANY political affiliation.

If you think only republicans are for capitalism and republicans aren't for entitlements you're fucking stupid. Sen Ted Stevens REPUBLICAN from Alaska is known as the KING of pork. The only republican that is truly anti-entitlement is Ron Paul

She'll win Cali big time and of course NY big time. How is Obama going to compete with that, by winning Illinois?

NoComments 01-29-2008 09:20 PM

McCain won South Carolina for the same exact reason why he will be the best President who may deal with faltering economy,
and here is the proof:

Sorry, I meant "goofball options."

kane 01-29-2008 09:30 PM

My thought (assuming edwards doesn't pull off a miracle) is that if he goes up against Hillary he will win. The christian conservatives hate her so much they will begrudgingly vote for McCain who they don't like at all. If it is Obama he goes against I think it is anybodies election because it would be a younger, fresh voice against the career politician so the fireworks would fly.

I keep asking which red states does Obama wins. It doesn't matter is he gets 99% of the vote in those blue states. 2000 should have told you that actual vote totals don't matter.

cherrylula 01-29-2008 09:34 PM

bitches and fags, bitches and fags.... Hillary has girly tees in her store.

McCain and Clinton, if it goes that way, its going to be one hell of an ugly race. I can't wait to watch the action. :1orglaugh

If those are 2 finalists, I'll skip this election all together and stay home....or look for another home, somewhere around Tuscany.

I've answered this in a couple of other threads but maybe you didn't see it so here goes again.

A case could be made that he could win any or all of these states: Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas and Virginia. All of these were states that were won by Bush in 2004, but in each case the margin of victory was less than 10% and in the case of Iowa it was actually less than 1%. New Mexico and Nevada were also won by Bush by less than 3%. If you go back and look at the maps from when Bill Clinton ran in 1992 and 1996 he actually won a handful of southern states. So the idea of of a democrat winning a southern state is not that far removed from reality. Obama could go into a couple of these states where they have a large black population and get them to vote for him. If you couple that with the reality that many in in the conservative christian right may not support McCain it could be enough to swing a couple of these states into Obama's column.

I'm not saying he would pull it off, but there are at least 6 states that Bush won in the last election that Obama would have a chance of winning.

I like Mccain but he is like 80 yrs old so I will see who he picks to run with sine he could pass away in the next 8 yrs

Gottis 01-30-2008 02:07 AM

was it Mccain who just said "i will chase bin laden to the gates of hell"

jesus christ, this dude will bomb everything not USA

ADL Colin 01-30-2008 03:23 AM

If McCain vs Clinton I think it could be as close as the last two elections with no reason to think one will triumph. There's a whole lotta election left and who knows what will happen in that time, what strategy will backfire and so on.

Could easily come down to one state and even the weather can change an election when that happens.

The last two elections were largely a tale of urban vs rural.

ADL Colin 01-30-2008 03:26 AM

Serge, here is a movie to try I just watched. "The Dish".

NoComments 01-30-2008 04:26 AM

Thanks, Colin, I'll check it out. Have you seen "The road to Wellville" with Anthony Hopkins? Funny flick, disregard the low Netflicks ratings

Sami 01-30-2008 04:40 AM

lol...

Have we not had enough of republicans?

Its like getting slapped in the face 2 times .. asking to get slapped in the face again.

McCain would be 10x worse than george w in my openion!

Unless america elects a democrat be it hilary or obama... it would be united states demise!

This is why the Democrats have to wake up and put John Edwards forward. This freak show of potential presidents has been fun and all but can't we, the democrats put up someone who could actually win? Why is that so hard?
