WTF is with these companies (mainstream bs)?
 

Im having some of my stuff moved to the east coast while I am out there for a bit and filled out about 10 forms to have both my car and shit moved. I talked to serveral companies who had me fill out paperwork and get everything set up.

TODAY my car was supposed to be picked up at 9am. I get a call at 930am saying the truck is running late and the guy will call me when hes 5 minutes away. 11 fucking 45am NO CALL. so i call... "oh sorry, he already has left, i will get your car on the next truck tomorrow. I will call you around 4pm today"

Moving company: "on monday i will have the forms and everything sent to you, fill them out and fax them back and we can get it set up." Monday = NOTHING! so i call... "uhh yeah, ill work on getting them out to you today, but dont know if we will be able to get out there by friday"

WTF?!?!?! how do these companies continue to operate? these were the best two i could deal with since the other ones dont return phone calls. seriously, what dont I get here? Im willing to pay (probably more than i should) for these services and they cant follow through with shit?

Dude, you are moving shit cross country, you have to expect hassles like these. Especially when you are not living where your stuff is being moved from.

I am where my stuff is now. Im in LA having stuff moved to near Philly. Im heated because everything was supposed to be set up and these companies flake.

Ive been working on getting everything set up for weeks now. Ive been thru 4 companies that were supposed to pick up my car, each one flakes or says "it will be a few days until we can get back to you."

I can understand if im trying to organize all this a few days before im leaving, but ive already given these companies credit card numbers and deposits for this shit

In that case, call "the box bros". Im pretty sure thats the name. I had something moved from san diego to chicago and they drove down from la and got the shit to chicago with good service. They are based in LA so you should be good to go. It costs more but they can do same day. I paid a fortune but I called and got them here in a few hours from the inital phone call. Fucking great :pimp

i just cant believe this. even the guy i spoke with over the weekend i said i would pay him MORE in CASH if he can guarantee me everything will be set up and he assured me its no problem.

im half tempted to rent a fucking uhaul and just do it myself
