Vista is good actually :)

Well no shit, after playing with it for about 2-3 days since i got my new box, the x64 version of Vista has never ever gone down and everything has been working blazing fast. I am starting to really love it. They patched tons of stuff and I am sure one day it'll be a very good OS for everybody :)

:thumbsup

Spunky 01-27-2008 09:25 PM

I like it also..nothing major has happened to me yet

dav3 01-27-2008 09:31 PM

I think I'll just skip vista and go directly to 'windows 7'... maybe

Xrated J 01-27-2008 09:35 PM

ive had mine for awhile and i like it alot

Fat Panda 01-27-2008 09:46 PM

i love my xp pro...wont change till i have too

GrouchyAdmin 01-27-2008 09:46 PM

My pretty, shiny and new core duo 2 w/ 2GB and SATA-2 HD took 10 minutes to load Vista from a cold boot, every time. No shit.

Hell, Linux boots faster when there's no network attached and you're waiting for a timeout.

beta-tester 01-27-2008 09:50 PM

for me vista boots in like 30-40 secs tops.
I have Raptor 150GB, 2GB ram and quad 6600 2.4Ghz G0

And it's fucking FAST :)

tony286 01-27-2008 09:52 PM

what are you using the machine for?

mynameisyep 01-27-2008 09:54 PM

Never change my xp pro.

Fap 01-27-2008 09:59 PM

im on xp.. my computer came with vista but i never installed it hmm..

marcop 01-27-2008 10:15 PM

I bought a new Vista machine for my office, and liked it so much I replaced a balky XP machine at my home with another Vista box.

Slick 01-27-2008 10:22 PM

I've had Vista since the day it came out and I think it's a lot more stable than XP. I'd never go back.

Bojangles 01-27-2008 10:38 PM

Vista is okay. Thinking about putting XP on my new machine.

The Sultan Of Smut 01-27-2008 10:45 PM

I loved Vista until I plugged my ipod in :(

stickyfingerz 01-27-2008 10:50 PM

Had it on my laptop for awhile, I think most of the programs I have to have are all updated to work on it now, so will probably setup dual boot for awhile, then swap it out after I get everything up and crankin on vista right.

EuroRev_Stacey 01-28-2008 02:16 AM

I am finally starting to appreciate VISTA, thou I still need to upgrade my memory :)

munki 01-28-2008 02:20 AM

I love vista... running on all but one box now...

Give it the memory it needs, and its a monster.

starpimps 01-28-2008 02:30 AM

CIVMatt 01-28-2008 07:49 AM

Vista is fucking great until you load software on it or try using video editing plugins.

florin 01-28-2008 08:09 AM

i liked vista until i had to install some stuff that was not compatible with it....

Scott McD 01-28-2008 08:37 AM

Been on Vista for about 3 weeks now !

No trouble so far. And it has some pretty neat features !! :thumbsup

dready 01-28-2008 08:38 AM

It would be great if people wrote software for it. They I could actually try using it.

sniperwolf 01-28-2008 09:16 AM

tried Vista for 4 months but stepped back to xp. Vista is actually good but need to install back the xp.

severe 01-28-2008 09:28 AM

vista is fine, handles memory more like unix, which is nice. takes a while to tweak all the annoyances out though.

My internet connection sharing software didn't worked on Vista so had to buy a router instead...

Vista is good once you get used to it, but all that shit with continue and/or allow on every click... Good that it is possible to turn it off. Otherwise...

beta-tester 01-28-2008 09:31 AM

I tweaked mine in like one hour and it's blazing fast :)
My rig is awesome tho :D
