Harsh Google update yesterday/today?
 

I don't usually follow these trends, but I lost a major keyword and source of traffic for me, last night I was #1, today I'm #11-14...

Anyone else noticing some shuffling?

I climbed to the first page on several keywords actually. So I guess it's a system for rewarding the cool people and punishing the nerds. :P

I have been going from 5 to 15 and back on a certain keyword for months now.
Google is constantly in motion.

could be those 500 recip-free incoming links that might of bumped you out :)

a couple years back I was 1-3 on enough search terms that I was making over $20k/mnth while sitting on my ass and watching the search traffic come in... over the course of 3 days I lost 75% of my revenue off of a single update.... I'll never put so many eggs in that single basket again!

Just did some digging. Keyword phrases we were watching increased with over 15 million new results over what we saw on the 17th.

I expect it may be a little more difficult to climb. Maintaining good rankings are the task now.

With the increase of people selling 100, 200 + back link packages from site/blog networks if someone is targeting your phrase you could notice a big drop in your own rankings it doesnt need to be a big change on googles side.

i didnt move around that much. what i did notice is a ton more PR added to my domains.

especially ones that i specifically worked on.

most i don't focus on improving the pr, but this time on a few i did.

none of my backlinks are bought. that shit is a bad idea.

well if recip links are the problem i am screwed..lol
i release 5 forum skins with my mainstream links in the footer of them in the middle of last year and together they have been downloaded over 5000 times.

according to the link checker on iwebtool i have over 62,000 links back to my site, im screwed if i have to linkback to them :1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

Yeah no it isn't an issue of people moving above me... I dropped and they stayed the same place. Trust me, with the money involved I monitor this closely. Somehow I got penalized without doing any drastic changes, even though my site is higher quality than all my competitors with higher quality backlinks :helpme

(and now I did not use my link building service on this particular site)
