What a waste of money that could be spent on good movies.

Tom Cruise and the word Samurai don't seem to match in my book. I never bothered with it.

Be happy. Anything else you do bother with is better than watching this horseshit.

It had a pretty weak message. Kinda atavistic actually. If anything, it was the MEIJI Emperor that was the good guy. He took Japan, within his reign, from assbackwards agrarian country to an industrialized power. Not too many rulers can lay claim to that feat. He also fundamentally changed the nature of Japanese national culture. There were some downsides (the militarism, being one) but overall, people have to give him props for turning SHIT into GOLD.

Yeah... I remember not being a huge fan of the movie, and I'm not really up for watching it again to remember why.

I liked it
