New programing launching BUNCH OF SCAMMERS (My warning to anyone in adult)
 

a guy on icq (name withheld for now) hits me up and asks me if I can integrate there nats and carma designs for them, so i quoted him a price.

He said that price was to high and he went away. this was a few month ago

so last week he hits me up saying that the company they paid fucked everything up and that now they need it fixed before next monday so they can launch there program.

He gave me a list and explained what needed to be done, I told him the things i CAN do and the things I CAN NOT do and we agreed on a price, when everything was done he needed a few more things changed so I changed them for him and then all the sudden he started throwing more things in the list and wanted it all done for the same price.

well i always collect 50% upfront to keep things like this from happening. well now he says the 50% he paid me upfront was enough and he doesnt wanna pay anymore because I didn't complete all the work ( the original list is done, except for 2 things that require he gets me the .fla file) so this is a warning that a company launching a new affiliate program are a bunch of scammers and thief's, this is there last chance to pay me before i post the name of the company and the employee

i even offered to cut the last 50% by giving them 25% off since they wernt happy that I wouldnt add all the extras for the same price and they still don't want to pay, so this is my thread on a company that hasn't even launched yet and they want to scam me out of money.

This isn't about the money to me because I do the nats coding on the side as a service that I offer since a lot of people have asked me to help them with there nats skinning, this is about the fact that if they scammed me after the work was done then they will find anyway possible to scam the affiliates or anyone they trade traffic with.

the said they wanna pay now, im waiting to see if the money shows up if not the names are being said, but they want to pay me ON monday, I don't think so they knew the work would be done today they should of had the money loaded and ready to be paid like they said they would.

out of the 10-15 different reasons this guy didn't want to pay the best by far was and i quote "I make XXXX a month to work 12 hours a day and on weekends, you worked a couple hours you dont deserve all the money" that alone would have set me off. Pete is a saint .. they laid out the job ..Pete gave a price .. they agreed and now they change their mind ...lol I think the guy will pay him Monday and i hope so but i'll be sure to stay away from a program that works that way.

I know the 2nd quote was a bit higher then the original and they were busting balls about that. Pete really wants to give them a chance to stay true to their word but I have a feeling its not going to happen and even if it does I'm sure its not long before word spreads about how it was handled.

In this case knowing Petey so well makes the difference... he would take an ass-raping to make someone happy if he was doing something for them, and just his way would mean he would not be producing shit.

This is actually a great question.

Even if they do pay you then the fact remains that they had to be forced to keep their end of the bargain. That's a program I wouldn't trust. Webmasters need to know who these douchebags are.
