When a company calls you and you are on hold as soon as you answer...
Do you stand there and wait for someone to actually talk to you?
What kind of anti-personal, blatantly rude, you're just a number in a queue pile of steamy crap is this kind of practice anyway? When I call them, and they answer with the "please hold *click*" greeting, I feel offended enough. But where do they get off phoning me to have me be on hold the moment my thumb hits the talk button? |
HOLY FUCK that shit drives me insane, i get credit card offers constantly. i sit there hello hello, then wait for them then cuss them out.

You know what I should have just done is wait for them.... and the moment they pick up to talk to me, say "I'm sorry, please hold" and hit the mute button. Let them sit it out for a while and see how they like it.

i wait for them to come on and then make excuse to open the door, or get a pen.. then I put the phone on my laptop and turn one of the movies I have. Usually anal sex videos..

I've only had that happen a couple of times, but when it does, I just hang up the phone. No WAY I'm TAKING a call and being put on hold.

The indians in these call centers are getting stressed and becoming ill because of all the abuse they face day in day out. Who wins? well the customers and employees certainly dont. fat cats probably gain quite a bit though. These days for things like insurance and banking I am more likley to choose a a company that has call centres in the UK, Sorry this was off topic, but it had something to do with phone centres and such. |

u know what drives me nuts even more, some of the big companies (i.e. verizon) will just hang up on you when their queue is bigger than a certain number so you dont run up their phone bill by holding for 30 minutes on a 1800 number. that really drives me nuts, especially considering verizon is a telephone company.

I hang up telling them to 'Fuck off and don't call me again' just in case someone is listening or the call is being recoreded.

I never pick up in the first place. Those numbers all show up as 1-888 or 1-800 numbers in call display, I just let my machine get it and sure enough, they never leave a message.
Done and done. |
