$2k? Must be a very nice hotel . . . or it is a long distance from the airport.

I look forward to seeing you there! We have lots of great stuff planned and the networking will be at its best.

I have been to hundreds of shows and this will surely be one of the best. The networking amongst decision makers and owners will be awesome, I look forward to it.

An amazing hotel and no need for your wallet when you arrive at the airport in Montego Bay. That price is covers you until you go back to the airport

This is not a show for everyone and its not intended to be a cheap low budget show that just anyone comes too. It's very much the same as the Curacao show , where you won't find every Tom Dick and Harry, but you will bring back good solid business deals.

If you have been to Curacao you know what I mean

Don't do it.

Worst cruise line you can imagine.

The Thailand gathering was less than this for a longer period and was all inclusive. Only one person at that show was not a company owner.

Of course, Thailand itself may be cheaper than Jamaica and I'm sure it's going to be a great event....But for the price, I could do a 7 day cruise on Princess, all inclusive with airfare and a stop in Jamaica. :winkwink:

Honestly it is not inflated at all. Try to call the grand lido and see what price you will get for 2 people. And then you are stuck at the hotel. With the person you came with for however long.

We are going there as a group. As a group there will be lots of activities planned for networking at the hotel as well as off the property so we don't all get stir crazy. These activities are not free and are a crucial part of making this a networking event.

The idea is that you will come back with more money in business then you spent attending. Although if I was selling Jamaican vacations, which clearly I am not, ya maybe the price is a lil' steep.

This price includes everything for you from the second you get through customs to the moment you head home. All of your liquor, activities, food, transportation and much more.

If you go to any show you are looking at about 1000 bucks for a room for 3-4days, plus your show badge which is 75 -300, then you have to buy usually at least breakfast, dinner too depending on where you have or have not been invited. Sometimes lunch if you miss the 30 minute buffets that are occassionally provided. Plus alcohol for you and everyone you are trying to schmooze. Not to mention taxi cabs to get to events away from the hotel.

Really you are at about 1900 bucks there depending on your tastes.

Overall this trip makes it easy there is no tipping allowed, no need to fight over a bill, everyone is being pampered, for those of you who dive it even includes 2 scuba dives daily :) Not to mention 24/7 room service for those of you with Jamaican style munchies.

I agree... (Sorry Elissa). Sure, it's all inclusive, but when you factor in the cost of food (and especially alcohol) in a country like Jamaica, you're not getting much of a deal...

I guess I don't qualify as the target demographic for this show though. See you all at the cr bash (free for attendees :winkwink: )

LadyMischief 01-25-2008 03:49 PM

I am sooo going I got my invite too.. Can't wait to get there lol.

Imortyl Pussycat 01-25-2008 03:50 PM

Well ya if you are planning on eating jerk chicken everyday you are right ... not much of a deal.

We are going to be having some world class chef's cook for us on and off of the resort. Again this isn't to everyone's taste.

But for those of you who like the nicer things in life... and you know who you are... this is the place for you most definitely.

Some photos for you all to check out!

seeric 01-25-2008 04:06 PM

Ellisa, you should know I am all about the nicer things in life, and I have also travelled to many caribbean destinations. Any criticism I have is from experience :winkwink:

Maybe I'll surprise you and register at the last minute though :thumbsup

2K does not sound bad, consider ?200-?250 / day in amsterdam, on top of that there is normal registration, transport from air port and to air port, then there is costs from the bar / restaurant etc, ofcourse you can always eat free if you wanna place your luck on a group of 50-100 people going out, then deciding what they want, then waiting for the food etc
2K is a good value and will weed out the most people that go to a show for the free events rather than business :2 cents:

Bdiddy 01-25-2008 04:45 PM

Jenni,

Never met ya, but you are adorable. :2 cents:
