He didn't just win, he beat the shit out of nadal the entire time. I've never seen this guy play before but watching him for the first time was intense. I've never seen anyone put the ball wherever they want at any given moment. If he plays like this from now on, he's going to be top 10 in no time.

He's good but I think it was more that he was on his game than beating the shit out of Nadal.

i see this guy doing major damage from what i was watching he is a beast,

he serves fuckin everywhere mixes his game up with power and finess, the way this guy is playing i dont see him being beaten.

you could see by the look in his eyes he didnt want to just win but destroy. i think he has the fire to go places. dunno just something about his look of confidence.

I know what you mean and was actually quite happy that he beat Nadal so easily. But I'm not convinced, his earlier games against lesser knowns weren't as good.

No doubt he's a good player, whether he is able to become a great player is another thing.

i didnt catch the other games so i cant really comment but i know what you mean.

But one huge upset like this can really give someone unlimited confidence and def. jumpstart their career.

I would love to see this guy up there, the power he has i dont think i can ever remember seeing anyone equal to it.

I already saw the Federer - Djokovic match, so I won't spoil it for you by giving the result.

If you recall, Djokovic gave Federer a real challenge in the US Open last year (before melting down).

Good Australian Open this year... :thumbsup

Hopefully he and Djokovic can upset the top 10 over the next 12 months. It seems that the top players have been dominating their ranks far too easily (especially Federer) for too long.

The thing about Tsonga that really caught my attention was how quick he is around the court. Shots that would normally be winners he could round up and fire back at a million miles an hour. You don't see many if any other players able to do this.

Exactly!!

If Tsonga can keep up the ability to fire back ROCKETS at any given moment, I can't wait to see what will happen.

And I'm glad the Fed train just came to a stop!!
