When you see him on something when he is just talking like a normal person he seems like a nice guy. When he goes into chef mode he is a jerk.
I don't know if you have seen his wife but she has been trying to make her way on cooking shows lately and has her own cookery book. She annoys me more than him..comes across as very high and mighty.
I've been watching the UK version of Kitchen Nightmares on BBC america. Not as good as the US version but still good.
I've been watching both also and prefer the US version a bit more, but maybe thats just because I have to strain at times to understand them on the BBC version, lol.
"WTF, on google you can find the answer to every question in human history, EXCEPT how to convert cams..

I am sure that is part of it on both sides. Perhaps not the language so much but that both versions are presented in the style people from each country are used to. The American version is more 'perky' with the voice overs and the like and British viewers are used to a more straightforward presentation.
Funny, I have been thinking the US version (which just started running here) isn't as good as the UK version.
I'm with you sister. I love the unedited versions. It's so much fun to see him flip his lid and actually HEAR what he is saying instead of the beeps.
I rather enjoy the F Word as well.
The most impressive thing about British TV are the commercials. They are so much more artful then American TV. The condom ads are great! The Becks Beer ad with the guy dancing with 3 claymation figures was the bomb!
I love Gordon Ramsey & Hell's Kitchen! I was lucky enough to meet him in LA and get a pic with him at the Beverly Hills Hotel during the last Webmaster Access West. He was very, very nice in person.
