Ducks Vs Kings. What a night. BAD ASS, and I was there!!!
 

I missed the thread earlier for the invite. So I hit up Baddog, to see if he knew if there were extra tickets since I knew he was going.

Turns out Baddog WAS going but was sick so he gave me his ticket. BD, I OWE YOU!

It was definitely a night to remember.

We all met up at the Fox Sports Bar and had a few drinks and some food. Then we went into the Staples center and were escorted to an area under the bleachers. I had no idea we would be doing anything like that. I just assumed it was a regular game we were going to.

Before long we were standing next to the Zambonis, It was chilly and I was told the ice was right around the corner. After a few minutes we were led to the ice and were allowed to take pics but not get on the ice.

I had never even been to a hockey game until 2 days ago and now here I am standing right next to the ice. I can compare it to Baseball by saying, I've played hundreds of baseball games and have played on hundreds of different baseball diamonds, but I've never been invited onto the edge of pro team's diamond.

Then all of a sudden Joe says "we're going out there" and then we were led onto the ice. There we were... on the ice. You could feel the envy from all the people in the crowd as they all watched as we were led onto the ice. After we all took pics, they took us to the penalty box where we waited until the players came out. I had no ideas the players were such big guys. I mean they looked unreal.

The Kings and the Ducks were no more than 5 feet away from us, separated only by a 1/2" thick glass. They started warming up, and would skate by slamming pucks into the glass right at our faces. Pretty scary to see a puck flying right at your face full speed and then slam into the glass just a foot away from your face.

Joe knows some of the LA Kings so as they skated by they'd nod and say hi to him and he motioned something to them and one of them ( I wish I knew who he was) flipped a puck up over the glass and Joe caught it and gave it to me. Fuck man, it was pretty bad ass. I came home and gave it to my son, and his face lit up.

After the warm up we took our seats like 18 rows from the ice. We had a pretty awesome view. The Kings whooped the ducks ass. 3 to 1. And a bad ass fight broke out. The whole place went wild when they started fighting.

All in all... It was a bad ass night, and I have Baddog and his virus to than for it.

I am pretty sure why it was such a goodnight, because baddog WASN'T THERE. :thumbsup

Badass man... Sounds like a GREAT time and Joe is the man...

Great game also.. I was there but up in the rafters for the game (not that there is a bad seat at staples)... Kings turned it on and played a strong game.

Did you see us on the ice? I was the one in the pretty red shoes.

Im glad everone had a great time..im thinking bout once a year doing a webmaster gathering there.. a scheduled one.. just a 1 day event. Lots of options that can be done. ANyway some pics to come later.. but hers a couple to fit this thread..
