Question about female dogs
 

Do female dogs even have these messy monthly things after they have been "helped"?

My girlfriend wants a chiwawa and I am all good with that but they are hard to get on a small island. Now I see an advert for a female one and since I am stupid I really dont know about these things. I just want to keep it at one (max two) dogs and I dont want a bloody house or a chiwawa walking around in pampers...:helpme

female dogs dont go into heat "every month" there is no monthly,,... its a bit longer than that

Amazing how little men know about the female reproductive system :( Of course, then we also have the men who think they won't have any cum if they get a vasectomy so I guess they don't know much about their own bodies either ;)

I think they're only bleeding once a year... we just bougt a female which just had it's "period"... not that big an issue... she's just wore a "diaper" for 2 weeks and that's it...

Credit given :thumbsup Even though she won't go into heat every month, please get her spayed. It's easier on everyone - especially the dog :)

Twice a year, and sometimes more often depending on the bitch, and the proximity of other bitches and intact males.

Most times you'll never notice it though, they tend to clean up after themselves, or at least mine did.

we used to have a female mini pinscher dog and noticed that she never had that monthly thing like woman do.
