Hey what's up guys?

I finally made it out to Vancouver, and let me tell you it is FUCKING AWESOME!!! I flew in yesterday from Toronto.

I flew in yesterday with all my shit and found my corporate apartment rental. This place is off the hook. Right on Robson St and you will not believe this shit! A 15 second walk to FUCKING HOOTERS!!! And a jacuzzi in my bedroom!!YAAAA BABY!!!

People here are wicked nice! I can't believe the difference from Toronto. I mean I didn't think people were pricks in Toronto but people here actually say hello to you on the street and are totally laid back and helpful.

I am a 3 min walk to the ocean and can see the mountains from my balcony. It is totally amazing!

All I can say is that if you have been thinking of visitng or moving to BC. DO IT!!! I am having a kickass time and am looking forward to getting super hammered at the 100 bars or so down the street. I would love to get in touch with any GFY people out here as I don't really know anybody out here! LOL! HELP!

haven't even changed your location on GFY yet - and already you are saying it fuck'n rocks - I agree vancouver is cool. clean. great bars. hot women. and robson is a good street to be on. but 1 day - seems a little quick to say - it fuck'n rocks.

I went through a corporate apartment rental company called Downtown Suites. The place is absolutely MINT! Top floor penthouse suite, hardwood floors, totally furnished with TV's, cordless phones, stainless steel appliances (black very cool!), jacuzzi, awesome balcony with a view of Robson St/Downtown and mountains. Laundry insuite and parking included. It's a bit pricey $1500 a month but it is well worth it in my opinion! :)

And NiteChat, it barely gets below 0 Celcius here in the winter. It rarely snows in the city but the snowboard runs are 30km away. The beach/ocean is 500m from Robson ;)

If yuo are a big fan of cheap and good vietnamese food, little saigon is down the road.. miko has awesome sushi... there is a thai place that has awesome lunch specials kitty corner to hooters... there is a cheap ass pub across teh street from hooters too ( I think it is offset by like half a block)....

I used to work right across the street from where you are at :)

Kind of shitty for us snowbaorders though...there hasn't been much snow here in a few years.

Just had to chime in on this comment too. Rain yes, snow....no. It snows maybe twice a year and it's gone by the next day as someone else said. The weather is pretty good if you can stand several days in a row of rain and overcast...lol.

you mean the bar is priced in relation to what they are getting for the rooms? Must be pricey place. I own a condo around the corner (above Urban Fare) and there must be 20 condo projets going up in Yaletown all at once currently. I have no idea how my property value can hold-up with all the supply of condo's flooding the market?

Well, I havent actually been to Opus, so I cant say. I am only going by what my friends have said.

I am looking to buy a condo around that area. It's a littly yuppie-ish but nice enough area. As for the value of your condo holding up - I think there is enough demand to justify most of the new condo's in the area - some of them are rentals only too.
