Who is " Webmaster of the Year " for 2008 ????
 

I think Xbiz should have a new category called " Webmaster of the Year " . Everyone should vote the best person who sent the most traffic and quality traffic to affiliate programs should win " Webmaster Of the Year " ...what do you think?

Yeah sounds like a good idea though, although it would be hard to pick one of the many affiliates spread across so many different sponsors.

I think judging webmaster of the year based on traffic is pretty dumb.

well not just traffic but quality too? how else would we judge? any ideas so i can talk to my friends at xbiz :winkwink:

How exactly would you judge the quality of someone's traffic? And do you think every program is going to want to advertise who their whales are?

it shouldnt be on who sends the most traffic or sales, but the one who had the best innovative idea in the webmaster comminity or something like that

Screw the webmaster of the year unless it is most improved newbie of the year which is something that could be voted in fairly.

Does not have to involve sales, traffic, or anything really. Could be a new programer, content shooter, service, or anything else.

The person who would deserve it would probably be some no-name webmaster who keeps a low profile, makes money and doesn't even post on boards. The person who would get it would be the bro who begged the largest number of other bros to vote for him.

Isn't the D-Money's Player of the Year Woody award essentially this anyway?

Well bad boy would you have any suggestions maybe? I still think there should be " Webmaster of the Year " ...so many hard working webmasters who use affiliate programs....i nominate Rabbits Review, Sr. Rodney, TheBestporn, Pornusers and FreePornReview for now.....

We only get to do Webmaster of the Year if we have Attention Whore of the Year or Trainwreck of the Year.

One I did like that DMoney always did was Newbie of the Year. Every now and then a new kid on the block really shines and shows a lot of industry potential. Then there is Ramos. (I kid, I kid!)

I still think there should be a " Webmaster of the Year " on a serious note....too many webamsters work hard everyday with their favorite affiliate programs....they deserve an award......after all they are the ones bringing in the traffic to many affiliate programs....

Uh, yeah. I'm going to have to say no to that idea. Not all people want "15 minutes of adult entertainment fame". Instead of some bullshit award that is; one - rigged and two - worthless, all sponsors should start giving cash bonuses to affiliates (webmasters). Certainly not based on traffic of quality thereof but conversion ratios (maybe) but most likely total gross sales. A few people, well more then a few, do "whale" bonuses or promotional bonuses. Which is freaking great. However not sure how many people are still doing 300+ sign-ups per pay period (15 days usually). I'm certainly not one of them.

Big webmasters don't want to be known. That's just 500 more people to bug them everyday. Most whales have a select few programs who take care of them, and they remain pretty loyal.
