    My throat is KILLING me! HELP

    Tomorrow will officially mark that i have been sick for a full week. Ive never had a sore throat hurt this bad before. No matter what little candy things (like halls) i take it is not getting any better. Tylenol helps a bit but you can only take so much.

    Tomorrow i am going to an ENT to figure out whats going on. My doctor predicted i would be better by tuesday the latest, and now it's wednesday night.

    Does ANYONE have any suggestions? Things that help them? Please im being serious for once.

              What's doctor said about your glands? Perhaps you you should get rid of them. I'm having a similar problem but still have no time for a surgery.

                      well he said from the first time to the 2nd time i saw him my glands look 90% better but now they are feeling worse..

                                              TEMPORARY solution, buy any of those throat numbing sprays. They will provide some relief. Normality will return when infection is gone.

                                                  pure lemon juice..add a dash of honey or sugar.. warm up for 10 seconds and do it like a shot.. 4-6 times a day.

                                                  I havent had a cold in forever and I always do this as soon as I feel a sore throat coming on...been doing this method for 20 plus years.

                                                                  just tried it lets see how it works, it was kind of yummy, i put it in a double shot so i added more honey i found

                                                                                          you might have strep throat...have you tried the chloraseptic sprays? they numb pretty good....oooo that sucks about the infection...just saw that.....

                                                                                                  To have maximum effectiveness..do this as soon as you feel a sore throat coming on. Stay with it for a few days, doing 4-5 shots a day. (use real lemons..not the juice in the plastic lemon bottle)

                                                                                                  Limes work too.

                                                                                                          pour half a teaspoon of salt with half a teaspoon of cayenne pepper into a cup of warm water and gargle that every couple of hours. That will take away some of the pain.

                                                                                                                                      they put me on some heavy duty steroeids and antibiotics.
                                                                                                                                      they also gave me antiacid stuff so it doesnt effect my stomach...
                                                                                                                                      did i forget to mention i start my job on monday and i was supposed to move into my apartment monday this past week? good times..

You need to do it at least every hour for a day though.

                                                                                                                                                                                                      I know it won't directly make your throat feel better, BUT it should shorten up your healing time.
