Do Americans Say "Wave Goodbye"?
In the UK we say Wave Goodbye to grandma... What do you say in America?
Say farewell? or something like that? |
We say "wave goodbye" if we actually want someone to physically wave, but we also say "wave goodbye" when something is disappearing. Like "wave goodbye to high bank fees".
I think we use "say goodbye to grandma" more often though. |
