Hehe I hope these people read the TOS very carefully.

If i was a conspiracy freak i would be really worried now. I mean its clear Google does everything to get all information possible of their users and this takes it one step beyond. I mean look at a few years ago where it was just a small search engine on an empty page to now with their huge widespread personal info sucking network. You would almost think its all part of a bigger plan with scary people involved.

After Shock Media 01-22-2008 05:29 PM

Well it "technically" isnt google :winkwink:

Linguist 01-22-2008 05:29 PM

I think it's the other way around actually, you gotta pay them $900 to find out about your ancestry and such

thats what i heard

but i heard its rather connected with estimating your susceptibility to diseases, I read about two such companies launching recently, one of which belonged to google founders wife. Though this article says they arent doing such disease-related interpretations of the results.

anyway, i'd never want to get a complete DNA test done, not even if they paid me $900 :winkwink:

Supz 01-22-2008 05:45 PM

thats not the way i like to spread my DNA around

After Shock Media 01-22-2008 05:48 PM

my bad I did mean you have to pay them.

fuzzylogic 01-22-2008 05:49 PM

i think it's a very interesting idea. priced less than $1k it's tempting...

pinsv 01-22-2008 05:51 PM

Lab rats ...

killermule 01-22-2008 08:23 PM

madfuck 01-22-2008 08:27 PM

cherrylula 01-22-2008 08:33 PM

very cool, I would do it.

Fap 01-22-2008 09:07 PM

google is expanding like crazy these days

collegeboobies 01-22-2008 10:03 PM

Its $999, I have looked into this and it looks great, they can tell you where most of your ancestors came from a long time ago. They can also tell for example that people with similiar genetic history have 10% higher chance of heart attack, or something similiar. There are a list of certain things they can check for.

L-Pink 01-22-2008 10:55 PM

Great informaion for insurance companies ........

Otter 01-22-2008 10:59 PM

$999 sounds really expensiveto me

Danny B 01-23-2008 02:17 AM

God i wish I would have thought of that.

That data is priceless.

starpimps 01-23-2008 02:21 AM

learning your susceptibility to diseases is a great thing. I would just register and pay under a totally different name

Damian_Maxcash 01-23-2008 02:40 AM

I would do it - It would be interesting....

As far as insurance is concerned I am a 37 year old gay bi-polar smoker. I dont need Google to tell me it would send me to the poor house.

brand0n 01-23-2008 05:21 AM

DNA is worthless.

you can make a clone human embryo from just a simple skin cell.

ServerGenius 01-23-2008 06:47 AM

Ha submit your dna and data let them store it indefenitely in their databank
track your whole fucking life and medical track record and have tons of kids
come knock on your door asking for child support money.....and all that for
just $999......I think I'll pass :winkwink:

alby_persignup 01-23-2008 08:03 AM

very interesting but they can figured that out easily, I mean we're talking about millions of DNA.
