            WinRAR is not free, just in case...

            Lotosus.com control panel got extract files function :-)

            Anyways, zargan gave you a good advice.

              They are called "tarballs". In windows you can use any major archiving program. I usually used winzip.

              Mac will handle it automatically by double clicking.

              Unix you can use "tar zxvpf theFile.tar.gz"
