Ok I was wrong about Ron Paul.

He does spend money apparently. I just got phone spammed by a private number with a recorded Ron Paul message.

RedShoe 01-21-2008 06:08 PM

is that who you were voting for?

I dunno how I feel about another republican from Texas.

Hell no I was not planing on voting for him. Sure he has some good ideas but he could not accomplish even a percent of the shit he stands for. His only option as president would be to veto everything that hit his desk.
Congress would not work with him and neither would the senate. So opps there goes just about every aspect of his platform and if he really believed in what he speaks about he would remain in one of those offices where he could make such changes.

Not to mention the economy already sucks ass and we are in a recession in my eyes. Assuming he gets his way and chops apart all sorts of Government agencies, do you realize how many jobs that is? Hell I think one in four people or some shit work for the Government (guessing).

My post was about a previous post of mine saying I never see him spending any money on things like TV ads and the like and just enjoys raising it. I was saying I was wrong. Apparently he has invested in a bunk calling list as neither of us are registered republicans though maybe it is not bunk as we are registered independants. He then also invested in an automated calling machine system to call and bug me at home. So I was wrong, he is just not all about posting in forums and email spam, he is pro phone spam too.

I have a feeling you will see him spend some $$$ on Superbowl Sunday.

Please say that is not true.
Not only would it be a total waste of money, it will also disrupt the party atmosphere.

I think I'd vote for Andy Dick before I'd vote for Ron Paul.

For some reason I highly doubt that.

I can poop in a ziplock bag. Will people please write in my poop in a ziplock bag for president on election day? I mean it has as much chance as Ron Paul winning so "why not"?:1orglaugh

IllTestYourGirls 01-21-2008 08:02 PM

If you think the only thing he could do with his ideas is veto you are really ignorant. He could do everything that congress, past presidents would not want you to do. For starters her could declassify everything that does not harm our national security. and that is just the tip of the iceberg.

But I do understand why so many people are scared of truth. We like to think that everything is fine, the government loves us. We have been bought off by trinkets and toys. And have been scared of the boggy man for far to long.

IllTestYourGirls 01-21-2008 08:04 PM

I am glad you missed the point of his run and his grassroots efforts in his presidential bid. :thumbsup

Ok yes he could declassify some shit as well. Yippie! However honestly how often has the FOIA turned up something really good, and pages that were solid black do not count. Yeah a few drug issues and other bad things the Government did but most is just a bunch of useless crap.

He can not abolish the IRS, nor the department of education, nor participation in the UN, nor everything that was said in the phone spam.

I have very few problems with his ideas. I just feel he would stand a better chance in making such changes as a member of congress or the senate and not the president.

Just the kind of thinking that got us into this mess.

only you could say something as stupid as that

a commercial will reach the whole country
a blimp will reach just who's at the game

which would you want?

commercial air time during the Superbowl is the most expensive add time period.

he might even have a blimp too!

:error:error

Blimp at game = blimp on tv coverage of game as well as possibility that news stations would report on it

Nice guess. But you're a little far off. ;) Population of the US is something like 380 Million people. So by your guesstimate, that's 95,000,000 people working for the government. :1orglaugh

But yes, Ron Paul does have money. He raised $1.2million on just the 21st of January. ;) And he beat the single day record for fund raising last month.

Yeah, spend $3 million on a 30 second spot that most will be in the kitchen or bathroom when they see it isn't going to be one of the humorous beer ones.

Honestly it would not surprise me if 95 million people worked for some form of the Government from DMV to the post office and you name it.

After Shock Media 01-22-2008 01:34 AM

Hell I think that there are about 19 million alone just on social security.
Then add in Welfare.
Then real jobs like post office, dmv, clerks, corrections, police, fire, politicians, DEA, FBI, CIA, Ambassadors, and so forth.
