adventures are overrated

I've had enough adventures to last me a lifetime just getting to where I am today.

I don't wanna go skydiving.
I don't wanna drive a racecar.
I don't wanna travel around the world.

I just wanna watch my bigscreen tv, squeeze my woman and then crash in my tempurpedic with the big fluffy comforter when I get sleepy.

Is that so wrong?

Gasper 01-21-2008 06:08 AM

whatever works for you is just fine (for you)

EuroRev_Stacey 01-21-2008 06:56 AM

whatever will make you happy will never be wrong :)

polish_aristocrat 01-21-2008 06:59 AM

No, it just means you're an old fart who is past it.

I will only stop travelling the world when I'm crippled or dead.

You can never have enough adventures! :2 cents:

not adventures.

do what I did, sell your belongings, pick a place and move there for awhile. leave everything you know and believe behind. Take a year off work, read.

I think my year off vacation last year was the best thing i could do for myself.

Kill your TV and sell your stuff.

it really works.

I would second that.

:thumbsup

:: psst:: bring your work with you, it is easier to arrange if you do.

Scott McD 01-21-2008 07:53 AM

Just take some time out for a while and chill.

You'll be in the mood for a new adventure soon enough...

sniperwolf 01-21-2008 09:29 AM

well, to each his own!

if that what makes you happy then do it! :thumbsup

Dirty D 01-21-2008 09:34 AM

I love the life of travel and adventure... but I can dig a couch potato groove.

pornguy 01-21-2008 09:43 AM

yes. Its wrong.

You forgot to mention that from time to time you need a nice glass of wine, or a strong whiskey or maybe an ice cold beer.

it is, I did it.

I have to disagree. When I went stunt plane flying a couple months ago it was one of the most exhilarating things I have done in a long time.

Nothing like getting the old pulse pumped up.

carol.prime 01-21-2008 12:28 PM

do the things that will make you happy, mate!! :thumbsup
ill support you then. :)

Hey dig420,

I love adventures, but almost all of mine came with some negative blow back from out of this world.

So make room on your couch, I'm comming over! Shit!!!!!!

WarChild 01-21-2008 02:11 PM

There is no thrill greater than skydiving. Moving to a new country with no belongings and not speaking the language was also fun.

Peaches 01-21-2008 03:27 PM

In the next few weeks I'm going to start flying lessons. You're never too old for more adventures :)

And I don't think I'll EVER travel enough. I'm always ready to come home, but then I'm ready to plan the next trip.

But I also like to just chill. I was inviting some fellow travelers to visit me and realized there's nothing really do to here but relax. Living in a vacation home is sometimes all the "adventure" I want :)

G-Rotica 01-21-2008 05:06 PM

I made my bucket list and am starting on it this year. It's a long list.

Matt 26z 01-21-2008 05:16 PM

Go on a tour of Congo in the back of a pickup truck.

That is only fun if you strap fresh ribeye steaks to your body each day and arm yourself with a sling shot and a flynt knife.

bausch 01-21-2008 05:39 PM

I don't like any adventures. For fun I surf online and lay on the couch watching my big screen by myself. Going to the grocery store is enough of an an adventure for me.

You have made that painfully clear.
