Two week holding period for check?

Hi,

What do you make of it when a sponsor tells you there is a two week holding period on all checks? I never heard that before, just wondering if you guys could shed some light for me.

you mean checks that your members pay with? makes sense.. they don't want to get stuck with bad checks.

Is this standard operating procedure for them, or something new with them?

Its routine for them, I just want to know if any other sponsors do the same. If anyone has experienced this before.
