recurring and non recurring revenus - What to do?
 
I am looking for program owners who have tried to offer membership with and without the non recurring monthly subscription.

I would like to know if only having a recurring monthly subscription model have increased sales, decreased sales or no effect on your sales?

I am thinking that a mix of non recurring and recurring weakens total sales as many would opt for the non recurring.

as anyone tested it and what do you think...

Please explain how any choice in payout would change the number of total sales? If a webmaster has 1000 clicks, no matter which payout he chooses, it results in the same total number of sales. If anything recurring would be lower sales, as the affiliate may send some to per sale sponsors in order to get checks to pay his bills NOW, as opposed to spreading out the money over 2 years or more

Offering a non-recurring option is a good idea. There are people who don't feel comfortable with recurring memberships. Then there are people who like the convenience of recurring memberships so they don't have to keep joining each month.

I recommend using a non-recurring membership for a 3 or 6 month period at a higher price. Don't give much of a discount. If your site averages 3 months retention at $25 then you will want to charge about $75 for a 3 month non-recurring membership. This way you are not lowering your take per sale and you are also offering people who are not comfortable with recurring memberships another option.

This does not have much of an impact on sales. If anything it might help a little.
