every two weeks I get a check from compact digital - recurring sales for some movies I sold for them 2 years ago - most are like $2 or $3 but they come very two weeks

A guy I know gets a check for like $1.29, $1.75 etc. each year from a share in an oil well that he inherited. Not much of a producer I guess. Anyhow he has received the checks for several years and has not cashed any of them and the company that sends the checks out have spent many times the amount of the checks, in postage, asking him to cash the checks.

I got a moneytree cheque once for 0.45 they forgot to pay us from a previous week. The lady and the bank laughted so hard when she saw it! It cost them more to send the cheque then what it was worth :)

I love small checks in the UK. The way you write even pound amounts (£100.00, etc.), instead of saying "One hundred dollars and xx/100" you say "One hundred pounds only".

This gets funny when the check actually says, "One pound only."
