I just saw a seriously fucked up toddler tv program.....I'm about to kill someone

I was watching tv with my 2 sons and this program about 2 teddybears
came on......1 of the bears was wearing a scarf and said he would like
to swing.......so guess what.....he threw 1 end of the scarf over a tree
branch and you saw him hanging in the tree swinging with the other end
of the scarf still around his neck......what drugs has the cartoonist been
taking.....and how did it pass the channel program directors.....this was
on Nick Jr...a channel for 2 - 6 year olds....

candyflip 01-20-2008 10:24 AM

Remember that one time the coyote tried to drop the rock on the roadrunner and it fell on him instead?

What were those cartoonists thinking? :winkwink:

sortie 01-20-2008 10:56 AM

MetaMan 01-20-2008 11:05 AM

Maybe if peoples kids werent so fucking stupid these days parents would be able to teach them the difference between TV and reality?

or would that make the parents stupid? things that make you go hmmmmmm.

Look at it this way: trial-and-error, natural selection.
Kids that are stupid enough to actually do it, get weeded out. The smart kids survive and make society money :1orglaugh

tell that to the parents of that kid that died after he got himself stuck in a microwave...

KILL_FRENZY 01-20-2008 02:27 PM

That kind of shows should be baned on a kids channel

That reminds me of when they started censoring the old classic Looney Tunes on TV. They actually edited out some of the scenes of violence, or anything that might be racist. They have some specific things they looked for, such as use of fire, poking people, shooting people, etc.

If they were going to do that to them, they shouldn't play them at all.

And don't get me started on the fate of poor Speedy Gonzales.

Ehm...either your friend was blowing smoke out of his ass or they stopped doing that. I don't see it nowadays, ever.

If anything, I've noticed more swearing in the cartoons and kidshows nowadays. But that's it. No nudie commercials...

Its an excercise in Evolution.

For children that fail to understand this danger and the parents that miss it without educating thier children will result in what is called natural selection.

It's a good thing.

After Shock Media 01-21-2008 02:47 AM

Your concerned with talking bears swinging from a scarf tied around their necks and because of that your about to kill someone.

Dude it is a cartoon.
Bears do not talk.
Cartoon charectors are not real.
What you see on TV should not be imitated.
Last I checked as well bears do not wear scarfs.

Now seriously havent you had that talk with your children about what you see on TV?

alby_persignup 01-21-2008 03:10 AM

There are so many kid program that still needs parental guidance.

Wow, did you come up with that joke all by yourself? Good boy.

Brother Bilo 01-21-2008 09:08 AM

It's just natural selection, the ones that are too stupid to figure out it's just a cartoon wouldn't be functioning members of society anyways.

Oh wait, did someone already say that?

its natural selection.....:1orglaugh:1orglaugh:1orglaugh

i purposely scrolled thru this thread to see your reaction
i thought it would of been one of the follow

1) what you said
or
2) you should not let kids watch tv!!!

you are a fuckin nut job

MetaMan 01-21-2008 02:40 PM

What we really need to do is:
ban tv
ban books
ban video games
ban books
ban newspapers
ban magazines
ban language
ban leaving your house

because some parents (servergenius) are stupid and raise their kids to be robots and not think for themselves.

i mean it is everyone elses job to do the parenting of your child....

I dated a girl with a 3 year old for about a year and trust me that kid knew the difference between TV and real world, instead of sitting infront of the TV we took the kid outside to play in the park. to teach her some REAL world skills.

only idiots worry about what there kids are being taught by the TV.

donkevlar 01-21-2008 02:41 PM

What was the show?

And to people defending the show like "dude its a bear, they dont have scarfs blah blah blah"... are you fucking serious?

Have you ever had a conversation with a 2 year old before? They're not the brightest, you can't really expect to just explain that TV isn't real and then set them up in front of a show that makes hanging themselves by their neck look harmless and fun.

So there's fucked up shit on shows meant for 2-4 year olds and you've decided the problem is parents playing warcraft?

Thinky before typie.

Xrated J 01-21-2008 02:44 PM

what show was it?

so you dont think 2 year olds know not you go take a scarf and hang themselves from a tree?

seriously how stupid can a kid be? that is the point people are trying to make.

Xplicit 01-21-2008 03:13 PM

Virtually every cartoon will have some wacky 'boink' and 'boom' moments where characters get smashed, smooshed, blown up, etc.

...at least from what I remember. I dont have kids so its been awhile since ive watched cartoons besides simpsons, family guy, southpark.

But I dont remember ever thinking if I got ran over and flattened i'd really pop back up just like a cartoon.

Any kid whos fallen and scraped their knee should be smart enough to know that.

Jimmy Rock 01-21-2008 03:15 PM

Thats fucked up!

Well... Kids can be as stupid as is humanly possible. They see shit and they imitate.

A two year old has a vocabulary of like 50 words and can most likely be found drooling, practicing its new found ability to walk or shitting its pants.

Of COURSE they're stupid enough.

You can usually explain those moments away as one character was angry at the other, and was trying to hurt him for whatever reason. When a bear shows that it's FUN to hang himself by the neck, then you've got a problem.

no again you are wrong, if i 2 year old i barely smart enough to speak or walk how do you expect them to find a scarf and hang themselves?

and i dont mean by accident i mean totally being done by immatation from the cartoon, their lack of intelligence would stop them from figuring it out in the firstplace.
