Chargers don't stand a chance

All their key players are injured not playing or not 100%

They are a California team playing in New England in January weather

They haven't had a week off since week 7

New England has already beat the piss out of them once already (38-14).

I hate New England and I would like to see the Chargers win but let's be real

Not going to happen

kenny 01-20-2008 09:57 AM

The chargers fucked everything up by defeating the Colts.

The Colts had a much better chance :1orglaugh

smutnut 01-20-2008 10:11 AM

I agree, but I think the game will look a lot closer than it actually turns out to be. In other words I think it will be a good game but just because everyone's trying to take the pats down but in the end it will be the usual song.

GO PATRIOTS! Finally a new team for America! :1orglaugh

PornMogul 01-20-2008 10:22 AM

Im gona be rooting hard for the chargers. Gotta support the home team!

smutnut 01-20-2008 10:26 AM

I'm going to root for the Patriots, because I suffered through years of misery with them when I was growing up. If the Chargers move to LA, like the rumors say and where I live now, I'm either moving or never watching football again.

JimmiDean 01-20-2008 10:45 AM

Patriots VS the Giants.....
I hope

MetaMan 01-20-2008 10:46 AM

Chargers are a bunch of fucking babies.
I cant wait to see them get spanked, i have never seen a more whiny team then the Chargers, fuck i dont even like the Patriots but anyone getting on that bandwagon is an idiot.

If that's true then you just contradicted yourself.

Chargers > the Colts.

Colts had a shot

Therefore: the Chargers have a shot.

Banged up as they are, no one can say they have ZERO chance. There's a chance. Not a big one, but it's still a chance.

But they'll probably lose. :D

I agree with you, everyone has a shot. If a team in the game didn't have a shot the Patriots would have never humiliated the Rams in the first superbowl they won and never would have become the GODS of the nfl they are today! :thumbsup

There is only one god. His number is 4.

I been in sports as a player and a coach my whole life... One thing I know is that to play your best football is you always need a reason when you go out on the field.. things like for the redskins losing one of their players to a fatality, to a close rivalry, the teams with reason always seem come out victorious...

Now some reasons can float a whole season, a few games or even a quarter of a football game... But one thing I see with the Chargers is you are giving them reason... you are giving them zero chance, and thats all they need to find the passion to win this game...

Upset time.
Chargers 30 - Pats 28

to sell my analogy further lets look at the Chicago Bears this year who had a most horrible season, to not only take down Green Bay at home but to
walk onto Lambeau field and take another victory there... They are the rivalry that gave them the passion to do this as a bad team....

But with that said... Bret Favre and the entire team behind Brett
is enough reason to go all the way and win the super bowl and being a chicago bears fan this is really tough to say.. as i fucking hate Cheeseheads

Green Bay 31 - Giants 17 (weather may make this lower, its cold out here)

If you're talking about Brett Farr. He actually does scare me, but I'm fairly confident Belichick and Brady will come up with something. I'm actually rooting for the Pack, because it's the only team the Pats havent' played that are worth anything and I don't want any dispute over the greatest team of all time when it's all over

What are you, nine? :winkwink:

Joking aside, I agree with you on the Packers vs Pats superbowl being the makings of a good game.

I'm actually scared of Farr. Seriously. If you look at my old threads you'll find someone laughing at a Packer Fan (the guy with the fat girl spazing on sofa in his sig), and me saying that is the only team I wouldn't want to meet up with in the Superbowl.

I wasn't scared of the cowboys at all, although I think they lost to the Giants over worrying about the Packers prematurely

Let's just hope that the Pats aren't making the same mistake looking past the Chargers as if they don't exist. :2 cents:

Hey, they have never done that and actually gained ground doing just the opposite. I think they respect the Chargers a lot more than the Chargers respect them and that will be the Chargers downfall.

The Chargers are pissed because they were the best team in the AFC and the Patriots exposed them for the frauds they were. If they can hold on to that humiliation, they have a chance for an upset.

But if I were going to mortgage my home for a bet, it would be for the Patriots, even with the loss of odds

Furious_Male 01-20-2008 12:18 PM

Any given Sunday. But I am pretty confident the Pats will walk away with this one easily.

Not true.

With the prima donnas on the sidelines, maybe the real players can shine.

kenny 01-20-2008 03:05 PM

They got to score a touchdown. Fuck all of these field goals :disgust
