anyone on caro.net/carohosting having issues?
 

My server appears to have lost power at least a couple of times and I notice the BGP routes to it are flapping, which suggests something scary might be happening in the D/C. :helpme Hope it's just a hiccup and nothing serious

Server has rebooted 5 times in the last 45 mins

My boxes are fine, no reboots here

Got a reply back that said it was a faulty power controller.

My thumb database is corrupt. :-/

mysql has a repair function.

It's not mysql, and the way I'd set up the automated backups it happened to overwrite the backup at the same time the source file went kaput. I'll have to rewrite for that condition. I did manage to restore the set of galleries that were currently visible, but I decided it was probably time to redo my thumbs anyway, get rid of some badly performing sponsors etc.

My server violently rebooted 8 times around 12-13 hours ago, and I've just seen that it has rebooted twice again around an hour ago. :mad::mad::mad: I'm sick of seeing "WARNING: / was not properly dismounted" in my logs. :mad::mad::mad:

ouch, youre lucky you didnt lose the entire hdd or more out of the server with that many hard power cut offs

Crashed AGAIN :mad: 11 times in half a day!!!!!

At this rate I'd probably be safer just shutting the damn thing down until they fix the problem. Then again, it was supposedly already fixed. :mad:

That's a good point, it's a RAID1 setup so I'll make a note to start a patrol read once this situation is resolved.

Might also disable FreeBSD's soft updates for now.

That sucks, I've been with phatservers for over a month now never had any problems with my server ;)

I'm happy with caro. Shit happens, I'm not going to move elsewhere just because of this. I'm sure they'll look after me in the long run as they already have.

But for now, yes, I'm pretty pissed off. :thumbsup
